Essential Activities |

Assist a range of small and midsize companies to maintain information systems based on Windows Vista, MS Windows XP, Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2003, Microsoft Exchange 2007 and 2003 Server, and .NET servers. Cooperate closely with client's IS staff or deliver comprehensive IS outsourcing. Required areas of expertise include Exchange and Outlook, Active Directory, Protection, server monitoring, and system architecture.

Duties |
 |

Support and repair Windows 2008 or 2003 Server-powered computer networks. Operate on-site and remotely to diagnose and resolve both emergency and chronic issues concerning uptime, security, throughput, connectivity, and overall functionality.
Install, configure and integrate MS Windows-powered application hosts and MS .NET servers. Configure and deploy Microsoft Windows 2K, Microsoft Windows XP, and Windows Vista workstation environments. Configure and analyze various information utilities and applications.
Create information technology infrastructures and security strategies that support customer's business growth.
Support and administer Microsoft Outlook client with back-end Microsoft Exchange Server, MS Office suite, phone communications, and fast Internet access.
Plan and deploy migrations to MS Windows XP and Vista, Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2003, Active Directory, and MS Exchange 2007 and 2003 Server.
Optimize system availability and capacity through non-stop topology, efficient network infrastructure, and proactive network monitoring.
Create up-to-date documentation of the network as it grows.
Specify and procure new processor and communications hardware and/or programs to accommodate growth and new functions.

Experience/
Education |
 |

Minimum Professional Background
Microsoft Certified System Engineer, proven troubleshooting and problem isolation ability and communications skills, and the ability to come up with temporary workarounds to network issues.
Ability to troubleshoot application problems including workstation program compatibility issues, server issues, data service issues, and connectivity problems.
Open to exchange knowledge with customers and coworkers and to escalate issues to additional engineers when appropriate.
Ability to operate efficiently in a virtual office infrastructure, providing reliable follow-through and utilizing remote access and wireless communications. Experience with remote server monitoring software and remote analysis methodologies.
Physical Capability
Willingness to react to off-hour technical crises when on emergency station.
Capability to lift, carry, and rearrange all parts of client workstations, network appliances, and accessories.
