Primary Activities
Help a variety of small companies to maintain IT networks powered by Microsoft Windows Vista, Microsoft Windows XP, Windows 2K or 2003 Server, MS Exchange Server 2003, and .NET platform. Cooperate closely with customer's network support staff or provide full-service IS outsourcing. Required fields of expertise include Exchange-based email, Active Directory design, Protection, network monitoring, and network architecture.

Responsibilities
Support and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows 2003 Server-based computer systems. Operate on-site and remotely to analyze and fix both emergency and lingering problems related to reliability, security, performance, accessibility, and general functionality.
Install, configure and integrate Microsoft Windows-powered program servers and MS .NET servers. Set up and integrate Windows 2000, MS Windows XP, and Windows Vista workstation environments. Setup and analyze a variety of network services and applications.
Design network architectures and security strategies that support client's business growth.
Support and manage Microsoft Outlook with backoffice Exchange Server, MS Office applications, phone communications, and broadband Internet connection.
Plan and deploy migrations to Windows XP and Windows 2003 Server, Active Directory, and MS Exchange Server 2003.
Maximize network availability and performance through non-stop topology, efficient system architecture, and automated server monitoring.
Create accurate records of the network as it evolves.
Specify and procure additional server and networking hardware and/or software to support growth and additional functions.

Education
Required Work Background
MCSE, proven analysis and diagnostic skills and communications skills, and the ability to implement quick workarounds to technical issues.
Understand how to to resolve application problems such as PC program compatibility issues, host system problems, data service problems, and network access issues.
Open to exchange knowledge with customers and colleagues and to escalate issues to additional engineers when appropriate.
Ability to work effectively in a virtual office environment, delivering reliable follow-through and utilizing remote connectivity and mobile communications. Familiarity with remote network monitoring tools and remote repair methodologies.
Physical Capability
Willingness to react to off-hour technical crises when on emergency call.
Ability to pick up, move, and reposition all parts of client desktops, network appliances, printers and accessories.
