Essential Functions

The IT Recruitment Manager is a full-time senior-level executive responsible for identifying, qualifying, and hiring technical personnel to join Progent's team of network support experts. The IT Recruitment Manager is a member of the management team, working closely with the President and Directors and Senior Engineers to ensure that the rapidly growing demand for Progent's IT support services is addressed by capable engineers and consultants who meet the highest standards of technical skill and professional behavior. The IT Recruitment Manager is responsible for hiring both full-time and part-time employees who will work in a virtual office environment provisioned and maintained by Progent. This is a salaried position.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:
  • Interact with Progent senior management to define and prioritize hiring requirements
  • Manage recruitment activities, primarily web-based initiatives
  • Manage Progent's job application database
  • Compose or edit job descriptions
  • Oversee the web-based publication of job openings
  • Review and respond promptly to all job applications
  • Evaluate job applicants and initiate interview process with top prospects
  • Perform extensive background checks, including validation of technical certifications and work experience
  • Forward the most promising applications to appropriate managers or engineering team leaders
  • Monitor the progress of interviews and regularly encourage managers and job applicants to move forward
  • Ensure that any interaction between Progent personnel and job applicant is properly documented
  • Understand and articulate to job applicants the competitive business advantages of Progent vs. competitors
  • Articulate to job applicants the life-style advantages of Progent's virtual office model
  • Identify candidates who are most likely to excel in a work-from-home environment
  • Evaluate the likelihood of job applicants to be able to provide efficient and personable remote support without face-to-face interaction with clients
  • Generate and articulate key components of service engagement proposals which tie business requirements/needs to unique company deliverables with a benefit-oriented approach
  • Assess the tendency of job applicants to follow through on all commitments
  • Stay current with major trends in network technologies and IT support
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/
Education

Education
BS or MS in Computer Science and an MBA, or equivalent experience in high-growth service companies

Minimum Work Experience Requirement
10 years of IT service experience in human resources, technical services management, or client services and 4 years of experience with recruiting IT support personnel
