Progent is looking for a motivated individual to help manage background summaries sent to Progent by job seekers. The Resume Screener will work from home and take resumes sent via email and transfer the resumes into a dedicated resume tracking program. The Resume Screener will consolidate all documents submitted by job seekers, verify that all required information is properly transferred into Progent's resume database, check that professional credentials are current, and prescreen job seekers by assigning each one a preliminary ranking.

Main Activities

The Job Application Screener is a work-from-home job that requires approximately 20 hours per week. The Resume Screener's main responsibility is to perform a preliminary screening on each job application sent to Progent, including submissions for engineering, operational, sales, and marketing jobs. The Resume Screener verifies that all work submissions and related documents are properly entered into Progent's dedicated resume tracking database, that all necessary information has been supplied, and that all declared industry credentials are valid. The Resume Screener will assign a preliminary ranking to each applicant in order to expedite the hiring procedures for Progent's human resources team.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:
  • Organize all resume documents emailed to Progent. Each applicant may submit any number of messages and attached files, and the submitted files can have any format.
  • Check that all necessary information has been submitted by each applicant.
  • Import all job application information into Progent's dedicated hiring database and verify that all data is successfully copied and correctly classified.
  • Confirm that any claimed technical credentials are published and have not expired.
  • Score applications by established criteria in areas such as job history, professional look and feel of cover letter and resume, certifications attained, and general work skills.
  • Work with Progent's HR team to help enhance the effectiveness of Progent's job application system.

Minimum Job Background
5 years of background in HR and 2 years of experience managing resumes
