Progent has an opening for a a detail-oriented person to help manage resumes sent to Progent by job applicants. The Job Application Screener will operate from home and take resumes submitted by email and transfer the applications into a dedicated resume management program. The Job Application Screener will organize all documents submitted by job applicants, verify that all relevant data is correctly transferred into Progent's database, make sure that industry certifications are current, and prescreen job seekers by giving each applicant an initial ranking.

Essential Activities

The Resume Screener is a work-from-home job that requires approximately 20 hours per week. The Resume Screener's main responsibility is to do a preliminary filter on each job application submitted to Progent, which includes submissions for engineering, administrative, selling, and marketing positions. The Job Application Screener checks that all work applications and associated files are properly entered into Progent's dedicated resume tracking database, that all required information has been supplied, and that any declared industry credentials are current. The Resume Screener will assign a preliminary ranking to each job seeker in order to streamline the recruitment procedures for Progent's HR department.

Human Resources staff responsible for maintaining Progent's job application system


Responsibilities

Job Duties include:
  • Consolidate all job application documents emailed to Progent. Each job seeker may send multiple messages and attachments, and the submitted documents can be in any format.
  • Make sure that all necessary information has been submitted by each job applicant.
  • Import all resume data into Progent's dedicated hiring system and confirm that all information is accurately imported and properly assigned.
  • Confirm that all listed industry accreditations are published and current.
  • Rank applications by defined standards in areas such as job history, professional look and feel of introduction and resume, certifications attained, and general job skills.
  • Work with Progent's HR staff to help improve the efficiency of Progent's hiring database.

Experience/
Skills

Required Job Experience
Five years of background in human resources and 2 years of experience managing job applications
