Progent is seeking a a detail-oriented individual to help manage resumes submitted to Progent by job applicants. The Resume Screener will work at home and retrieve job applications sent via email and import the applications into a dedicated application tracking program. The Resume Screener will consolidate all documents submitted by job applicants, verify that all relevant information is correctly transferred into Progent's resume database, make sure that industry certifications are current, and pre-qualify job applicants by assigning each one an initial ranking.

Job Application Screener

Main Activities

The Job Application Screener is a work-from-home job that takes about 20 hours per week. The Job Application Screener's basic responsibility is to do a preliminary filter on every resume sent to Progent, including submissions for engineering, administrative, selling, and marketing positions. The Resume Screener checks that all job applications and related documents are properly imported into Progent's dedicated resume tracking system, that all required data has been supplied, and that any declared technical credentials are valid. The Job Application Screener will give a preliminary ranking to every job applicant in order to expedite the hiring process for Progent's HR team.

Head of of HR Team

Interacts Extensively with:
Human Resources personnel responsible for managing Progent's resume system


Responsibilities include:
  • Consolidate all job application documents sent to Progent. Each applicant can send multiple emails and attached files, and the submitted documents may have any format.
  • Make sure that all required information has been included by every applicant.
  • Transfer all resume information into Progent's specialized hiring database and confirm that all data is successfully copied and properly assigned.
  • Verify that any listed industry credentials are published and have not expired.
  • Score resumes according to established standards in areas of job history, professional look and feel of cover letter and resume, certifications earned, and overall work skills.
  • Interact with Progent's HR team to help enhance the efficiency of Progent's job application system.


Minimum Work Background
Five years of background in HR and 2 years of experience managing resumes
