Progent is looking for a motivated individual to help manage resumes submitted to Progent by job seekers. The Resume Screener will operate from home and take job applications submitted by email and import the applications into a specialized resume management program. The Job Application Screener will consolidate all correspondence submitted by job seekers, confirm that all required information is properly imported into Progent's database, check that professional certifications are valid, and pre-qualify job applicants by giving each one a preliminary ranking.

Primary Activities

The Job Application Screener is a work-from-home position that takes about 20 hours every week. The Job Application Screener's basic responsibility is to do an initial filter on each job application sent to Progent, which includes applications for engineering, operational, sales, and marketing jobs. The Job Application Screener verifies that all work applications and related documents are correctly entered into Progent's dedicated application tracking system, that all required data has been submitted, and that all claimed industry accreditations are valid. The Job Application Screener will assign an initial ranking to every applicant to expedite the hiring procedures for Progent's human resources department.

HR personnel tasked with managing Progent's resume database


Responsibilities

Job Duties include:
  • Consolidate all job application information sent to Progent. Each job seeker may submit any number of emails and attachments, and the emailed documents may be in any format.
  • Make sure that all required data has been included by every candidate.
  • Transfer all job application data into Progent's dedicated hiring system and confirm that all information is accurately copied and correctly classified.
  • Verify that all claimed industry credentials are published and current.
  • Rank resumes according to defined criteria in areas such as work history, professional look and feel of cover letter and resume, accreditations attained, and overall work skills.
  • Work with Progent's HR staff to improve the effectiveness of Progent's job application system.

Experience/
Qualifications

Minimum Work Background
5 years of experience in human resources and 2 years of experience working with resumes
