Progent has an opening for a a detail-oriented individual to help manage resumes submitted to Progent by job applicants. The Job Application Screener will operate from home and retrieve resumes submitted by email and transfer the resumes into a specialized resume management system. The Job Application Screener will organize all correspondence sent by job applicants, verify that all required data is properly imported into Progent's database, check that industry certifications are current, and pre-qualify job applicants by giving each one an initial ranking.

Job Application Screener

Main Activities

The Resume Screener is a work-at-home job that requires approximately 20 hours per week. The Resume Screener's basic responsibility is to do an initial screening on every job application sent to Progent, including applications for technical, administrative, sales, and marketing jobs. The Job Application Screener checks that all job applications and associated documents are correctly imported into Progent's specialized application tracking database, that all required data has been submitted, and that any declared technical credentials are current. The Job Application Screener will assign a preliminary ranking to every job seeker in order to expedite the recruitment procedures for Progent's human resources team.

Interacts Extensively with:
Human Resources personnel responsible for maintaining Progent's resume system

Job Duties

Job Duties include:
  • Organize all job application documents emailed to Progent. Each applicant may send multiple emails and attachments, and the emailed documents can be in any format.
  • Check that all necessary data has been submitted by each job applicant.
  • Import all resume information into Progent's specialized hiring database and verify that all data is accurately imported and correctly classified.
  • Confirm that all listed industry accreditations are registered and current.
  • Rank applications according to defined standards in categories such as work history, professional presentation of introduction and resume, accreditations earned, and general job skills.
  • Interact with Progent's HR staff to help improve the efficiency of Progent's hiring system.

Work Background/

Required Job Experience
5 years of background in human resources and 2 years of background managing job applications
