The Job Application Screener will work from a home office and take resumes sent by email and import the applications into a specialized resume management program. The Job Application Screener will consolidate all correspondence sent by job seekers, confirm that all required data is correctly transferred into Progent's resume database, check that professional credentials are current, and pre-qualify job seekers by giving each one an initial ranking.

Primary Functions

The Job Application Screener is a work-at-home position that requires approximately 20 hours per week. The Resume Screener's main task is to do a preliminary screening on each job application sent to Progent, including applications for technical, operational, sales, and marketing positions. The Resume Screener checks that all job applications and associated documents are correctly entered into Progent's dedicated resume tracking database, that all needed data has been supplied, and that all declared industry credentials are current. The Resume Screener will assign a preliminary ranking to every job applicant in order to expedite the hiring procedures for Progent's human resources department.

Director of HR Team

Interacts Extensively with:
HR staff responsible for maintaining Progent's resume system

Job Duties

Responsibilities include:
  • Consolidate all job application information emailed to Progent. Every applicant can send multiple emails and attached files, and the submitted documents may have any format.
  • Check that all necessary information has been submitted by every candidate.
  • Import all resume information into Progent's dedicated hiring system and confirm that all data is successfully copied and properly classified.
  • Confirm that any listed technical accreditations are published and have not expired.
  • Score resumes according to established criteria in categories of work history, professional look and feel of cover letter and resume, accreditations attained, and overall work skills.
  • Work with Progent's human resources staff to improve the efficiency of Progent's job application system.


Required Job Experience
5 years of experience in human resources and two years of background working with resumes
