Progent is seeking a motivated individual to organize resumes submitted to Progent by job seekers. The Resume Screener will work from home and take job applications sent via email and import the applications into a specialized resume management program. The Resume Screener will organize all correspondence sent by job seekers, confirm that all relevant information is properly imported into Progent's database, make sure that industry certifications are current, and prescreen job seekers by assigning each applicant a preliminary ranking.

Main Activities

The Job Application Screener is a work-from-home position that takes approximately 20 hours every week. The Resume Screener's main responsibility is to perform a preliminary filter on each job application sent to Progent, which includes applications for technical, administrative, selling, and marketing jobs. The Resume Screener verifies that all job submissions and associated files are properly imported into Progent's dedicated application management database, that all necessary data has been supplied, and that all claimed technical credentials are valid. The Resume Screener will give an initial ranking to every applicant in order to streamline the recruitment process for Progent's HR department.

HR personnel responsible for managing Progent's resume database


Job Duties

Responsibilities include:
  • Organize all job application information sent to Progent. Each applicant may send any number of messages and attachments, and the emailed files can have any format.
  • Make sure that all required information has been included by every job seeker.
  • Import all resume information into Progent's dedicated hiring database and confirm that all information is successfully imported and correctly assigned.
  • Confirm that all listed industry accreditations are published and have not expired.
  • Score resumes according to defined standards in areas of work history, professional look and feel of introduction and resume, accreditations earned, and general work skills.
  • Work with Progent's HR team to enhance the effectiveness of Progent's job application system.

Experience/
Skills

Required Job Experience
5 years of background in human resources and two years of background working with job applications
