Progent is looking for a motivated person to organize resumes submitted to Progent by job applicants. The Resume Screener will work at home and retrieve job applications submitted by email and transfer the applications into a specialized resume tracking program. The Job Application Screener will consolidate all documents sent by job seekers, verify that all relevant information is correctly imported into Progent's database, make sure that professional credentials are valid, and prescreen job applicants by giving each applicant a preliminary ranking.

Primary Activities

The Resume Screener is a work-from-home job that requires about 20 hours every week. The Resume Screener's basic task is to perform a preliminary screening on each resume submitted to Progent, which includes submissions for technical, operational, sales, and marketing positions. The Resume Screener checks that all work submissions and associated documents are correctly imported into Progent's dedicated application management database, that all needed information has been submitted, and that all declared technical credentials are current. The Job Application Screener will assign an initial ranking to each job seeker in order to expedite the hiring process for Progent's human resources team.

HR staff responsible for maintaining Progent's resume database


Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:
  • Organize all job application information emailed to Progent. Every job seeker can submit any number of emails and attached files, and the submitted documents may be in any format.
  • Check that all necessary information has been included by each job seeker.
  • Transfer all resume data into Progent's dedicated hiring database and confirm that all data is successfully copied and correctly classified.
  • Confirm that all claimed technical credentials are registered and current.
  • Score resumes by established criteria in categories such as job history, professional look and feel of introduction and resume, certifications attained, and overall job skills.
  • Interact with Progent's human resources staff to enhance the effectiveness of Progent's job application system.

Required Job Experience
Five years of experience in human resources and two years of experience working with job applications
