Progent is looking for a a detail-oriented person to help manage background summaries sent to Progent by job applicants. The Resume Screener will operate at a home office and retrieve resumes sent via email and transfer the applications into a specialized application management system. The Job Application Screener will organize all correspondence submitted by job seekers, confirm that all required data is properly transferred into Progent's resume database, make sure that professional credentials are current, and prescreen job seekers by giving each one an initial ranking.

Essential Functions

The Job Application Screener is a work-from-home position that takes about 20 hours every week. The Resume Screener's main responsibility is to perform a preliminary filter on every job application submitted to Progent, including applications for technical, operational, selling, and marketing jobs. The Resume Screener checks that all work submissions and associated documents are correctly entered into Progent's specialized application management program, that all required information has been submitted, and that all claimed technical accreditations are valid. The Resume Screener will give an initial ranking to every job seeker to expedite the recruitment process for Progent's human resources department.

Director of HR Team

Interacts Extensively with:
Human Resources personnel tasked with maintaining Progent's resume database


Responsibilities include:
  • Organize all job application documents sent to Progent. Every applicant may send any number of emails and attached files, and the submitted files may have any format.
  • Make sure that all necessary data has been submitted by every job seeker.
  • Transfer all resume data into Progent's dedicated hiring system and confirm that all information is accurately imported and correctly classified.
  • Verify that any listed technical credentials are registered and have not expired.
  • Rank resumes by defined standards in categories such as job history, professional look and feel of cover letter and resume, certifications attained, and overall work skills.
  • Work with Progent's human resources team to help enhance the effectiveness of Progent's hiring system.

Work Background/

Five years of background in HR and 2 years of background managing job applications
