Progent is looking for a motivated person to help manage resumes sent to Progent by job applicants. The Resume Screener will work from a home office and take job applications submitted via email and transfer the applications into a specialized resume management program. The Resume Screener will organize all correspondence sent by job seekers, verify that all required information is properly imported into Progent's database, check that industry certifications are current, and prescreen job seekers by giving each one an initial ranking.

Primary Activities

The Resume Screener is a work-from-home position that requires approximately 20 hours every week. The Resume Screener's basic task is to do a preliminary screening on every job application submitted to Progent, including applications for engineering, operational, sales, and marketing jobs. The Job Application Screener verifies that all work applications and associated documents are properly entered into Progent's dedicated application management database, that all necessary information has been supplied, and that any claimed industry credentials are current. The Job Application Screener will give a preliminary ranking to each applicant to expedite the recruitment procedures for Progent's human resources department.

Director of HR Team

Interacts Extensively with:
HR staff responsible for maintaining Progent's job application database


Job Duties include:
  • Organize all resume information emailed to Progent. Every job seeker may send multiple messages and attachments, and the submitted documents can have any format.
  • Make sure that all necessary data has been submitted by every applicant.
  • Import all job application information into Progent's dedicated hiring system and confirm that all data is accurately copied and correctly assigned.
  • Verify that any listed industry credentials are published and current.
  • Rank resumes according to defined standards in categories of work history, professional presentation of introduction and resume, certifications earned, and overall work skills.
  • Interact with Progent's HR team to help improve the efficiency of Progent's job application system.


Minimum Job Experience
5 years of background in HR and 2 years of experience working with job applications
