Progent is looking for a a detail-oriented individual to organize resumes sent to Progent by job applicants. The Job Application Screener will operate from home and take job applications sent via email and transfer the applications into a specialized application management program. The Resume Screener will organize all correspondence sent by job applicants, confirm that all relevant information is correctly imported into Progent's resume database, make sure that professional certifications are valid, and prescreen job applicants by assigning each one an initial ranking.

Resume Screener

Primary Activities

The Resume Screener is a work-from-home position that takes approximately 20 hours every week. The Resume Screener's basic task is to perform an initial screening on every resume sent to Progent, which includes submissions for engineering, administrative, selling, and marketing positions. The Resume Screener verifies that all work applications and related files are correctly entered into Progent's specialized application tracking system, that all needed data has been supplied, and that any declared industry credentials are current. The Job Application Screener will give a preliminary ranking to each job seeker in order to expedite the recruitment procedures for Progent's HR team.

Interacts Extensively with:
HR personnel responsible for managing Progent's resume system


Responsibilities include:
  • Consolidate all resume information sent to Progent. Each applicant can submit any number of emails and attached files, and the submitted files can have any format.
  • Check that all necessary information has been submitted by every applicant.
  • Transfer all job application information into Progent's specialized hiring database and verify that all information is successfully imported and properly assigned.
  • Verify that all listed industry credentials are published and have not expired.
  • Score applications by established standards in categories such as job history, professional presentation of cover letter and resume, accreditations earned, and overall work skills.
  • Work with Progent's human resources staff to improve the efficiency of Progent's job application database.

Work Background/

Required Work Experience
5 years of experience in human resources and two years of experience working with resumes
