Progent is seeking a motivated person to organize background summaries sent to Progent by job seekers. The Job Application Screener will operate at home and retrieve resumes sent via email and import the resumes into a specialized resume management program. The Resume Screener will consolidate all documents submitted by job applicants, verify that all required data is correctly imported into Progent's resume database, check that industry certifications are valid, and prescreen job applicants by giving each applicant an initial ranking.

Primary Activities

The Job Application Screener is a work-from-home job that takes about 20 hours every week. The Job Application Screener's main responsibility is to do a preliminary screening on every job application sent to Progent, including submissions for technical, operational, sales, and marketing jobs. The Job Application Screener checks that all work applications and associated documents are correctly entered into Progent's specialized resume tracking system, that all needed data has been supplied, and that all claimed industry credentials are current. The Job Application Screener will give an initial ranking to each applicant in order to expedite the recruitment procedures for Progent's human resources team.

Interacts Extensively with:
Human Resources personnel tasked with maintaining Progent's job application system


Responsibilities include:
  • Consolidate all resume information sent to Progent. Every applicant can submit any number of messages and attached files, and the emailed documents can have any format.
  • Make sure that all required information has been included by every job applicant.
  • Transfer all job application data into Progent's dedicated hiring system and verify that all data is accurately copied and correctly assigned.
  • Confirm that all listed technical credentials are published and current.
  • Rank applications according to defined criteria in categories such as job history, professional look and feel of cover letter and resume, accreditations earned, and overall job skills.
  • Interact with Progent's human resources team to improve the efficiency of Progent's job application system.

Work Background/

Five years of background in human resources and 2 years of experience working with job applications
