The Resume Screener will work from a home office and retrieve job applications submitted via email and import the applications into a specialized resume management program. The Job Application Screener will consolidate all correspondence sent by job seekers, verify that all required data is correctly imported into Progent's database, make sure that industry certifications are current, and prescreen job applicants by assigning each applicant an initial ranking.

Job Application Screener

Main Activities

The Job Application Screener is a work-at-home position that takes approximately 20 hours every week. The Job Application Screener's basic task is to perform a preliminary screening on each job application submitted to Progent, including applications for technical, administrative, selling, and marketing positions. The Job Application Screener checks that all work submissions and related files are properly entered into Progent's specialized resume tracking database, that all required data has been submitted, and that any declared industry accreditations are current. The Job Application Screener will give an initial ranking to every applicant in order to streamline the recruitment process for Progent's HR department.

Interacts Extensively with:
HR personnel responsible for managing Progent's resume database

Job Duties

Job Duties include:
  • Consolidate all resume information emailed to Progent. Each job seeker may send any number of messages and attached files, and the submitted documents may be in any format.
  • Check that all necessary data has been submitted by each job seeker.
  • Import all job application information into Progent's specialized hiring database and verify that all information is accurately copied and correctly classified.
  • Verify that all claimed technical credentials are registered and current.
  • Score resumes according to defined standards in areas such as work history, professional presentation of introduction and resume, certifications earned, and overall job skills.
  • Work with Progent's human resources staff to help enhance the efficiency of Progent's job application system.

Work Background/

5 years of background in human resources and 2 years of experience working with job applications
