Progent is looking for a a detail-oriented individual to organize background summaries sent to Progent by job seekers. The Resume Screener will work at home and take job applications sent via email and transfer the applications into a specialized resume tracking system. The Job Application Screener will consolidate all documents submitted by job seekers, verify that all required information is correctly transferred into Progent's resume database, check that industry certifications are current, and pre-qualify job seekers by giving each one a preliminary ranking.

Main Activities

The Resume Screener is a work-from-home position that requires approximately 20 hours per week. The Resume Screener's main responsibility is to perform an initial filter on each resume submitted to Progent, which includes applications for technical, operational, selling, and marketing jobs. The Resume Screener checks that all job submissions and associated documents are properly imported into Progent's dedicated resume tracking program, that all needed information has been supplied, and that any declared industry credentials are current. The Resume Screener will give an initial ranking to every job applicant in order to streamline the hiring process for Progent's human resources department.

HR personnel tasked with maintaining Progent's resume system


Job Duties

Responsibilities include:
  • Organize all job application information sent to Progent. Every applicant may send multiple emails and attached files, and the emailed files can have any format.
  • Check that all necessary information has been submitted by each applicant.
  • Transfer all job application data into Progent's specialized hiring system and verify that all data is accurately copied and properly classified.
  • Confirm that any listed industry credentials are published and current.
  • Rank applications by established standards in categories such as work history, professional look and feel of cover letter and resume, accreditations earned, and general work skills.
  • Interact with Progent's HR team to improve the efficiency of Progent's job application database.

Experience/
Skills

Required Work Experience
5 years of background in human resources and two years of experience managing job applications
