Progent is seeking a motivated person to organize background summaries sent to Progent by job applicants. The Resume Screener will work from home and take resumes submitted by email and transfer the applications into a dedicated application management program. The Job Application Screener will organize all correspondence sent by job applicants, verify that all required information is correctly imported into Progent's resume database, check that professional certifications are current, and prescreen job applicants by assigning each applicant an initial ranking.

Primary Functions

The Resume Screener is a work-at-home position that requires about 20 hours every week. The Resume Screener's main responsibility is to perform an initial screening on every resume sent to Progent, including applications for technical, operational, selling, and marketing jobs. The Job Application Screener checks that all work submissions and associated files are properly imported into Progent's dedicated application management system, that all needed data has been submitted, and that all declared industry credentials are valid. The Resume Screener will assign an initial ranking to each applicant to streamline the recruitment process for Progent's HR department.

Human Resources staff tasked with maintaining Progent's job application system

Job Duties

Responsibilities include:
  • Organize all resume information sent to Progent. Each applicant can submit multiple messages and attached files, and the submitted documents may have any format.
  • Make sure that all necessary information has been included by every applicant.
  • Import all job application information into Progent's specialized hiring system and verify that all data is successfully copied and correctly classified.
  • Confirm that all claimed technical credentials are registered and current.
  • Rank resumes by defined standards in categories of work history, professional presentation of cover letter and resume, accreditations attained, and general job skills.
  • Work with Progent's HR team to help improve the effectiveness of Progent's job application system.


Minimum Work Background
Five years of background in HR and two years of background working with job applications
