Progent has an opening for a motivated individual to help manage background summaries sent to Progent by job applicants. The Job Application Screener will operate at a home office and retrieve job applications submitted via email and import the resumes into a dedicated application management system. The Resume Screener will consolidate all correspondence sent by job seekers, confirm that all relevant information is correctly transferred into Progent's resume database, check that industry credentials are current, and pre-qualify job seekers by giving each one a preliminary ranking.

Essential Functions

The Resume Screener is a work-at-home job that requires about 20 hours per week. The Job Application Screener's main task is to perform a preliminary screening on every resume submitted to Progent, which includes submissions for technical, administrative, selling, and marketing positions. The Resume Screener checks that all work applications and associated files are properly entered into Progent's dedicated resume management system, that all necessary information has been submitted, and that any claimed technical accreditations are current. The Resume Screener will give an initial ranking to each job applicant to streamline the recruitment procedures for Progent's human resources department.

Human Resources personnel tasked with maintaining Progent's job application system

Job Duties

Job Duties include:
  • Consolidate all resume information emailed to Progent. Every job seeker can submit any number of messages and attachments, and the emailed documents can be in any format.
  • Check that all required information has been included by each job seeker.
  • Transfer all job application information into Progent's dedicated hiring system and verify that all information is successfully copied and correctly classified.
  • Confirm that all claimed technical accreditations are published and have not expired.
  • Score applications by established standards in categories of work history, professional presentation of cover letter and resume, accreditations earned, and general work skills.
  • Interact with Progent's HR staff to help improve the effectiveness of Progent's hiring database.


Required Job Experience
5 years of experience in human resources and 2 years of experience working with job applications
