Progent is seeking a motivated individual to help manage background summaries sent to Progent by job seekers. The Resume Screener will work at home and retrieve job applications submitted by email and import the resumes into a specialized application tracking program. The Job Application Screener will organize all documents sent by job applicants, confirm that all required information is properly transferred into Progent's resume database, check that professional certifications are current, and pre-qualify job applicants by assigning each applicant an initial ranking.

Essential Activities

The Resume Screener is a work-at-home job that requires approximately 20 hours every week. The Resume Screener's basic responsibility is to do an initial filter on every resume submitted to Progent, including submissions for engineering, administrative, selling, and marketing positions. The Job Application Screener verifies that all job applications and related files are properly entered into Progent's dedicated application tracking program, that all required information has been submitted, and that all claimed technical accreditations are valid. The Job Application Screener will give a preliminary ranking to every applicant to expedite the recruitment process for Progent's HR team.

Human Resources personnel responsible for managing Progent's job application system


Job Duties

Responsibilities include:
  • Consolidate all job application information emailed to Progent. Each applicant can submit any number of emails and attachments, and the emailed documents can have any format.
  • Check that all required information has been submitted by every applicant.
  • Transfer all job application information into Progent's specialized hiring database and confirm that all data is accurately copied and correctly classified.
  • Confirm that any claimed industry credentials are registered and current.
  • Score resumes according to defined criteria in areas such as work history, professional presentation of introduction and resume, accreditations attained, and general job skills.
  • Interact with Progent's human resources team to help enhance the efficiency of Progent's hiring system.
