Progent is seeking a motivated person to organize background summaries sent to Progent by job seekers. The Job Application Screener will work at a home office and take resumes sent by email and import the resumes into a specialized application management program. The Job Application Screener will consolidate all correspondence sent by job applicants, verify that all relevant information is properly transferred into Progent's database, make sure that professional certifications are valid, and pre-qualify job applicants by assigning each one an initial ranking.

Essential Activities

The Resume Screener is a work-from-home job that takes about 20 hours every week. The Job Application Screener's basic task is to do a preliminary screening on every job application sent to Progent, which includes applications for engineering, operational, selling, and marketing jobs. The Resume Screener checks that all work submissions and associated documents are correctly entered into Progent's dedicated application tracking system, that all needed data has been supplied, and that any declared industry credentials are current. The Resume Screener will assign a preliminary ranking to each applicant to streamline the hiring process for Progent's HR department.

Responsibilities

Job Duties include:
  • Consolidate all job application information sent to Progent. Every job seeker may send any number of emails and attachments, and the submitted documents can be in any format.
  • Make sure that all required data has been submitted by every job applicant.
  • Transfer all resume information into Progent's specialized hiring database and confirm that all data is successfully copied and correctly classified.
  • Confirm that any listed technical credentials are registered and current.
  • Score applications by established standards in categories of job history, professional presentation of introduction and resume, certifications earned, and general work skills.
  • Interact with Progent's HR team to enhance the effectiveness of Progent's hiring system.
