Progent is looking for a motivated person to help manage resumes sent to Progent by job seekers. The Resume Screener will work at home and take job applications submitted via email and transfer the applications into a specialized resume management system. The Job Application Screener will organize all correspondence sent by job seekers, confirm that all relevant information is correctly transferred into Progent's database, make sure that industry certifications are current, and pre-qualify job applicants by giving each one an initial ranking.

Main Functions

The Job Application Screener is a work-at-home job that requires about 20 hours every week. The Job Application Screener's main responsibility is to perform an initial filter on each resume sent to Progent, which includes submissions for technical, operational, selling, and marketing positions. The Job Application Screener checks that all work applications and associated documents are correctly entered into Progent's specialized application tracking database, that all required data has been supplied, and that any claimed industry accreditations are valid. The Resume Screener will assign a preliminary ranking to every applicant in order to expedite the hiring process for Progent's HR department.

Interacts Extensively with:
Human Resources staff responsible for maintaining Progent's resume database

Job Duties

Responsibilities include:
  • Consolidate all job application information emailed to Progent. Every job seeker may submit multiple messages and attached files, and the emailed documents may be in any format.
  • Make sure that all necessary information has been submitted by each candidate.
  • Transfer all job application information into Progent's specialized hiring database and confirm that all data is accurately copied and correctly assigned.
  • Verify that all claimed technical accreditations are published and current.
  • Score applications by defined standards in categories of work history, professional look and feel of cover letter and resume, certifications earned, and overall work skills.
  • Interact with Progent's HR staff to help enhance the efficiency of Progent's job application system.

Work Background/

Required Work Experience
5 years of experience in HR and two years of background managing job applications
