Progent is seeking a motivated person to help manage resumes submitted to Progent by job seekers. The Job Application Screener will operate from a home office and retrieve job applications sent by email and transfer the resumes into a specialized resume tracking program. The Resume Screener will organize all correspondence sent by job applicants, verify that all relevant information is properly transferred into Progent's database, make sure that industry credentials are valid, and prescreen job applicants by assigning each applicant a preliminary ranking.

Essential Functions

The Resume Screener is a work-from-home position that takes approximately 20 hours per week. The Resume Screener's main responsibility is to perform an initial screening on every job application sent to Progent, including applications for technical, administrative, sales, and marketing positions. The Job Application Screener verifies that all work applications and related files are correctly entered into Progent's dedicated application management program, that all necessary information has been submitted, and that any claimed industry credentials are current. The Job Application Screener will give an initial ranking to every job seeker to streamline the recruitment process for Progent's human resources department.

Human Resources staff tasked with managing Progent's job application system

Job Duties

Responsibilities include:
  • Consolidate all resume information sent to Progent. Every applicant can send any number of messages and attachments, and the emailed documents can have any format.
  • Check that all required information has been submitted by each job applicant.
  • Import all job application data into Progent's specialized hiring database and confirm that all data is accurately copied and correctly classified.
  • Verify that all listed industry credentials are registered and current.
  • Rank applications by established criteria in areas of job history, professional presentation of introduction and resume, certifications earned, and overall work skills.
  • Interact with Progent's human resources team to enhance the effectiveness of Progent's hiring system.


Minimum Work Background
5 years of background in HR and two years of experience working with job applications
