Progent is looking for a a detail-oriented individual to organize resumes sent to Progent by job seekers. The Resume Screener will work at home and take job applications submitted via email and transfer the resumes into a specialized resume tracking program. The Resume Screener will consolidate all documents submitted by job seekers, verify that all relevant information is correctly imported into Progent's database, check that industry credentials are current, and pre-qualify job seekers by giving each one an initial ranking.

Main Activities

The Job Application Screener is a work-at-home position that requires approximately 20 hours per week. The Job Application Screener's basic responsibility is to perform a preliminary filter on each resume sent to Progent, which includes submissions for engineering, administrative, selling, and marketing jobs. The Resume Screener verifies that all work submissions and related files are correctly entered into Progent's specialized application tracking program, that all needed data has been submitted, and that any claimed technical credentials are valid. The Resume Screener will give an initial ranking to every job applicant in order to streamline the recruitment process for Progent's human resources department.

Job Duties

Job Duties include:
  • Organize all resume information sent to Progent. Every applicant may send any number of emails and attached files, and the emailed documents may have any format.
  • Make sure that all required data has been submitted by each candidate.
  • Import all job application data into Progent's specialized hiring database and confirm that all data is successfully imported and correctly assigned.
  • Verify that all claimed industry credentials are registered and current.
  • Score applications according to defined criteria in areas such as job history, professional look and feel of cover letter and resume, certifications attained, and general work skills.
  • Work with Progent's HR staff to enhance the effectiveness of Progent's job application database.

Experience/
Skills

Minimum Work Background
5 years of background in human resources and two years of experience working with resumes
