Progent has an opening for a a detail-oriented individual to help manage background summaries submitted to Progent by job applicants. The Job Application Screener will work at home and take resumes sent via email and transfer the applications into a specialized application tracking system. The Resume Screener will organize all correspondence submitted by job applicants, confirm that all relevant data is properly transferred into Progent's database, check that professional certifications are current, and prescreen job seekers by giving each one a preliminary ranking.

Primary Activities

The Resume Screener is a work-at-home position that takes approximately 20 hours every week. The Job Application Screener's basic responsibility is to perform a preliminary filter on every resume submitted to Progent, including submissions for technical, operational, selling, and marketing jobs. The Resume Screener verifies that all work submissions and associated files are properly imported into Progent's specialized application management database, that all required data has been supplied, and that all claimed technical credentials are valid. The Resume Screener will assign a preliminary ranking to each job applicant in order to expedite the hiring process for Progent's human resources department.

Human Resources staff tasked with maintaining Progent's resume system


Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:
  • Consolidate all resume information sent to Progent. Each job seeker can send any number of messages and attached files, and the emailed files can be in any format.
  • Check that all required information has been included by every job seeker.
  • Import all resume information into Progent's specialized hiring system and verify that all information is accurately imported and properly classified.
  • Verify that all listed technical accreditations are published and have not expired.
  • Score resumes according to established criteria in areas of job history, professional presentation of introduction and resume, accreditations earned, and overall work skills.
  • Work with Progent's HR team to improve the effectiveness of Progent's hiring system.

5 years of background in HR and 2 years of experience working with job applications
