Progent has an opening for a a detail-oriented person to organize resumes submitted to Progent by job seekers. The Resume Screener will operate at home and retrieve job applications sent by email and transfer the resumes into a specialized resume management program. The Job Application Screener will organize all documents submitted by job applicants, confirm that all required information is correctly imported into Progent's resume database, make sure that professional certifications are valid, and pre-qualify job applicants by giving each applicant an initial ranking.

Main Functions

The Resume Screener is a work-from-home job that takes approximately 20 hours every week. The Job Application Screener's main responsibility is to do a preliminary filter on every job application submitted to Progent, including submissions for technical, administrative, selling, and marketing jobs. The Job Application Screener verifies that all job applications and related files are properly entered into Progent's specialized application management program, that all required data has been supplied, and that any declared industry accreditations are valid. The Resume Screener will assign a preliminary ranking to each job seeker to expedite the hiring process for Progent's HR department.

Human Resources personnel tasked with maintaining Progent's job application database


Responsibilities

Job Duties include:
  • Organize all job application documents emailed to Progent. Each applicant may submit any number of messages and attached files, and the submitted documents can have any format.
  • Make sure that all required information has been included by every job applicant.
  • Import all resume data into Progent's specialized hiring system and verify that all data is successfully imported and properly classified.
  • Verify that any claimed industry accreditations are registered and current.
  • Score resumes according to defined standards in categories such as work history, professional look and feel of cover letter and resume, accreditations attained, and general job skills.
  • Work with Progent's human resources team to help improve the effectiveness of Progent's hiring system.

Experience/
Qualifications

Minimum Job Background
Five years of experience in human resources and 2 years of experience managing resumes
