Progent is looking for a a detail-oriented individual to organize background summaries submitted to Progent by job seekers. The Job Application Screener will operate at home and take resumes sent via email and import the applications into a specialized application management program. The Job Application Screener will organize all documents sent by job applicants, confirm that all relevant information is correctly imported into Progent's database, check that industry credentials are valid, and prescreen job applicants by giving each applicant a preliminary ranking.

Essential Activities

The Job Application Screener is a work-from-home job that requires about 20 hours per week. The Resume Screener's main task is to perform an initial screening on every resume submitted to Progent, including submissions for engineering, administrative, sales, and marketing positions. The Resume Screener verifies that all work submissions and associated documents are properly entered into Progent's specialized resume management program, that all required data has been supplied, and that any declared industry credentials are valid. The Job Application Screener will assign a preliminary ranking to each applicant in order to expedite the hiring process for Progent's human resources team.

HR personnel responsible for maintaining Progent's job application system


Job Duties

Responsibilities include:
  • Organize all job application information emailed to Progent. Every job seeker may submit any number of emails and attached files, and the emailed documents may have any format.
  • Check that all required information has been included by each applicant.
  • Import all job application data into Progent's dedicated hiring system and confirm that all data is successfully imported and properly classified.
  • Verify that all listed technical credentials are published and have not expired.
  • Rank applications by defined standards in categories of job history, professional presentation of cover letter and resume, certifications attained, and general work skills.
  • Interact with Progent's HR team to help improve the efficiency of Progent's hiring database.

5 years of background in HR and 2 years of experience working with job applications
