Progent is looking for a motivated person to help manage background summaries submitted to Progent by job seekers. The Job Application Screener will work from a home office and take job applications sent via email and transfer the resumes into a specialized resume management system. The Job Application Screener will organize all documents submitted by job applicants, verify that all relevant data is properly transferred into Progent's database, make sure that industry certifications are current, and prescreen job seekers by assigning each applicant an initial ranking.

Primary Functions

The Job Application Screener is a work-at-home position that takes about 20 hours every week. The Job Application Screener's main task is to do a preliminary screening on every job application sent to Progent, which includes applications for engineering, operational, selling, and marketing positions. The Job Application Screener checks that all job applications and related documents are properly entered into Progent's specialized resume tracking system, that all needed information has been submitted, and that any declared technical credentials are current. The Resume Screener will give an initial ranking to every job seeker to streamline the recruitment process for Progent's HR department.

Responsibilities

Job Duties include:
  • Consolidate all resume documents emailed to Progent. Each job seeker can submit any number of emails and attachments, and the submitted documents can be in any format.
  • Make sure that all necessary information has been included by every applicant.
  • Import all job application information into Progent's specialized hiring database and confirm that all data is accurately imported and properly assigned.
  • Confirm that any listed industry credentials are published and have not expired.
  • Score resumes according to established standards in categories such as work history, professional presentation of introduction and resume, certifications earned, and overall work skills.
  • Work with Progent's HR team to enhance the effectiveness of Progent's job application database.
