Progent is seeking a a detail-oriented person to help manage resumes sent to Progent by job seekers. The Job Application Screener will work at home and retrieve resumes submitted via email and import the resumes into a dedicated application tracking program. The Job Application Screener will organize all correspondence sent by job seekers, verify that all relevant data is properly transferred into Progent's resume database, check that professional certifications are current, and prescreen job seekers by giving each one a preliminary ranking.

Essential Functions

The Job Application Screener is a work-from-home position that requires about 20 hours every week. The Resume Screener's basic responsibility is to perform an initial screening on each resume sent to Progent, including submissions for technical, administrative, selling, and marketing jobs. The Job Application Screener checks that all job submissions and associated files are correctly imported into Progent's dedicated application tracking system, that all required data has been submitted, and that all declared technical credentials are current. The Resume Screener will give an initial ranking to each job applicant in order to streamline the recruitment process for Progent's HR team.

Interacts Extensively with:
HR staff responsible for managing Progent's job application system


Job Duties include:
  • Organize all job application documents sent to Progent. Every job seeker can submit multiple emails and attached files, and the emailed documents can have any format.
  • Make sure that all necessary data has been included by every candidate.
  • Import all resume information into Progent's dedicated hiring database and confirm that all data is successfully copied and correctly classified.
  • Confirm that any listed industry credentials are registered and have not expired.
  • Score resumes by defined criteria in areas of job history, professional presentation of cover letter and resume, certifications attained, and overall job skills.
  • Work with Progent's human resources team to help enhance the effectiveness of Progent's hiring database.

Work Background/

Minimum Job Experience
Five years of background in human resources and 2 years of background managing resumes
