The Resume Screener will work at home and take resumes sent by email and import the applications into a specialized resume management program. The Job Application Screener will consolidate all correspondence submitted by job seekers, confirm that all required data is correctly imported into Progent's resume database, make sure that professional certifications are valid, and pre-qualify job applicants by assigning each applicant an initial ranking.

Primary Activities

The Job Application Screener is a work-from-home job that requires about 20 hours per week. The Resume Screener's basic responsibility is to perform a preliminary filter on every job application sent to Progent, which includes submissions for engineering, operational, sales, and marketing positions. The Job Application Screener verifies that all work applications and related documents are correctly entered into Progent's dedicated application management program, that all needed information has been submitted, and that any declared technical credentials are valid. The Job Application Screener will assign an initial ranking to every job seeker to streamline the hiring process for Progent's human resources team.

HR staff tasked with managing Progent's job application system

Job Duties

Responsibilities include:
  • Organize all resume information emailed to Progent. Each job seeker can submit multiple messages and attachments, and the submitted documents may be in any format.
  • Make sure that all required information has been submitted by each job applicant.
  • Transfer all job application data into Progent's specialized hiring system and verify that all information is accurately imported and properly classified.
  • Confirm that all claimed technical credentials are published and current.
  • Rank applications according to established criteria in areas of job history, professional look and feel of cover letter and resume, accreditations attained, and general work skills.
  • Work with Progent's human resources staff to improve the effectiveness of Progent's job application database.

Work Background/

Minimum Job Experience
5 years of experience in HR and two years of experience working with resumes
