Progent is looking for a a detail-oriented person to organize resumes sent to Progent by job seekers. The Job Application Screener will work from a home office and take resumes submitted by email and transfer the resumes into a dedicated resume management program. The Job Application Screener will consolidate all correspondence sent by job applicants, verify that all relevant data is correctly imported into Progent's resume database, make sure that industry certifications are current, and prescreen job seekers by giving each one an initial ranking.

Essential Activities

The Resume Screener is a work-at-home job that requires approximately 20 hours per week. The Job Application Screener's basic task is to do an initial screening on every resume sent to Progent, including applications for engineering, administrative, sales, and marketing jobs. The Job Application Screener verifies that all job applications and associated documents are correctly entered into Progent's dedicated application tracking system, that all necessary information has been supplied, and that all declared technical credentials are current. The Resume Screener will assign a preliminary ranking to every job applicant in order to expedite the recruitment process for Progent's HR team.

Human Resources staff responsible for maintaining Progent's job application database

Job Duties

Job Duties include:
  • Consolidate all job application documents sent to Progent. Every applicant may send multiple messages and attachments, and the submitted files may have any format.
  • Check that all necessary information has been submitted by every job applicant.
  • Transfer all resume information into Progent's specialized hiring database and confirm that all data is successfully imported and properly assigned.
  • Confirm that all claimed technical credentials are published and current.
  • Score applications by defined criteria in categories such as work history, professional look and feel of introduction and resume, certifications attained, and overall work skills.
  • Interact with Progent's human resources team to improve the effectiveness of Progent's job application database.


Required Job Background
Five years of background in HR and two years of background working with resumes
