Progent is looking for a motivated person to help manage resumes sent to Progent by job applicants. The Resume Screener will work from a home office and take job applications submitted via email and transfer the applications into a specialized resume management program. The Resume Screener will organize all correspondence sent by job seekers, verify that all required information is properly imported into Progent's database, check that industry certifications are current, and prescreen job seekers by giving each one an initial ranking.

Primary Activities

The Resume Screener is a work-from-home position that requires approximately 20 hours every week. The Resume Screener's basic task is to do a preliminary screening on every job application submitted to Progent, including applications for engineering, operational, sales, and marketing jobs. The Job Application Screener verifies that all work applications and associated documents are properly entered into Progent's dedicated application management database, that all necessary information has been supplied, and that any claimed industry accreditations, credentials} are valid. The Resume Screener will assign an initial ranking to each job seeker to expedite the recruitment procedures for Progent's HR department.

HR personnel tasked with managing Progent's job application database


Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:
  • Organize all resume documents emailed to Progent. Each job seeker can submit any number of messages and attachments, and the submitted documents may be in any format.
  • Check that all necessary data has been submitted by every job seeker.
  • Transfer all job application information into Progent's specialized hiring system and confirm that all data is accurately copied and properly classified.
  • Verify that all claimed technical accreditations are published and current.
  • Rank applications by established criteria in categories such as work history, professional look and feel of introduction and resume, accreditations attained, and general job skills.
  • Work with Progent's human resources team to improve the effectiveness of Progent's hiring database.

5 years of experience in HR and two years of experience managing resumes
