Essential Activities

  • Maintain and troubleshoot Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-powered networks
  • Operate onsite and remotely to analyze and fix both urgent and ongoing issues associated with reliability, security, performance, accessibility, and general productivity
  • Install, setup and troubleshoot apps on Microsoft Windows Servers
  • Install, configure Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 desktops and notebooks
  • Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
  • Plan IT topologies including virtualized environments and private/dedicated/hybrid cloud models
  • Support and manage MS Outlook client with back office Exchange, Microsoft Office suite, telephony, and Internet access
  • Design and carry out updates to MS desktop operating system, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Exchange Server
  • Develop and validate protection policies including onsite high availability, fault tolerance, backup/restore and AV plus remote or cloud-based disaster recovery
  • Robust system architecture and 24x7 health monitoring and alerting


Minimum Work Experience Requirements
  • 10+ yearsí background in PC, server management and IT Infrastructure support (new software installation, machine setup, problem isolation and repair)
  • 5+ years consulting background
  • Ability to debug software application problems including workstation software compatibility issues, server issues, data service problems, and access issues
  • Experience in business software support (Microsoft products)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a virtual office setting, delivering consistent follow-up and using remote access and mobile communication technology
  • Operates without supervision and shows strong sense of ownership and drive
  • Has a working knowledge of networking layers L1-L7 and excellent debugging skills in layers 1 through 4
Credentials Needed
Current Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and/or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP:EA)
