Essential Activities

  • Support and repair Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-powered IT environments
  • Operate on premises and remotely to analyze and fix both urgent and lingering issues associated with reliability, security, performance, connectivity, and overall functionality
  • Deploy, setup and debug apps on Microsoft Windows Servers
  • Deploy and configure Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 desktop PCs and laptops
  • Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
  • Plan IT architectures including virtualized infrastructures and on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid cloud designs
  • Support and administer MS Outlook client with back office Exchange Server, MS Office suite, telephony, and Internet access
  • Plan and implement upgrades to Microsoft desktop OS, Windows Server, AD, and Microsoft Exchange Server
  • Develop and validate protection policies such as on-premises high availability, resilience, backup/restore and anti-virus plus offsite or cloud-based disaster recovery
  • Robust system architecture and proactive health monitoring and alerting


Minimum Work Experience Requirements
  • 10+ yearsí experience in desktop, server administration and IT Infrastructure support (new software installation, device setup, problem identification and repair)
  • 5+ years consulting background
  • Ability to troubleshoot software application issues including desktop PC software compatibility issues, server issues, data service issues, and connectivity issues
  • Background in business productivity application assistance (Microsoft products)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a virtual office setting, providing consistent follow-up and taking advantage remote access and wireless connectivity technology
  • Operates without supervision and demonstrates high level of ownership and initiative
  • Possess a reasonable knowledge of networking layers 1 through 7 and strong debugging skills in L1-L4

Current Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and/or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP:EA)
