Essential Functions

Help a variety of small and midsize company clients to support IT networks remotely, using advanced tools including rules-based diagnostics and remote management cards. Cooperate extensively via telephony with customer's IT staff to offer complete outsourced services. Vital areas of in-depth knowledge include Exchange-based email, Active Directory, protection, network monitoring, and system infrastructure. The Senior Remote Support Engineer will troubleshoot software problems such as desktop application integration issues, server problems, data service issues, and Internet connection issues, without onsite access, as long as the client infrastructure permits.

Clients, technology resources, and manufacturers/publishers


Duties

Support and troubleshoot Windows 2000/2003 powered IT networks. Work remotely to identify and resolve both emergency and chronic problems concerned with uptime, protection, throughput, connectivity, and general functionality. Well-developed empathy and phone-based communications skills.

Install and configure Windows-powered application servers and .NET servers. Set up and deploy Microsoft Windows 2K, 2003, Vista and Windows XP workstation systems. Install and evaluate various information services and programs.

Design and build information technology architectures and protection strategies to support client's business goals.

Service and administer Outlook clients with backoffice Exchange host, Office suite, phone communications, and broadband Internet connections.

Design and perform migrations to Windows XP and Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Windows Exchange Server.

Optimize system uptime and throughput by means of non-stop design, smart network architecture, and automated network monitoring.

Create updated documentation of the system as it changes.

Specify and procure new server and network equipment and/or software in order to promote customer's business growth and to support additional programs.


Qualifications/
Education

Minimum Professional Experience
Seven years experience in workstation and server administration new software integration, hardware setup, problem identification and repair).

Strong technical repair and diagnostic capability, knowledge to deploy fast resolutions to integration problems.

Experience in business program help (Microsoft family products).

Experience in a variety of customer infrastructures.

Experience with offsite network monitoring tools and offsite repair methodologies.

Demonstrated talent to operate effectively in a virtual office infrastructure, delivering consistent follow-through and utilizing remote access and wireless connectivity tools.

Excellent verbal and written communication ability.

Accustomed to working in a group environment.

Demonstrated dedication and commitment to providing continuous operations.

Works independently and demonstrates pronounced characteristics of ownership and initiative.

Schooling
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.

Cisco Systems Accreditation (CCDA, CCIE or similar).

2-year degree in information technology, or equivalent experience.
