Main Activities

Help a variety of small business customers to maintain information systems remotely, using advanced technology including rules-based diagnostics and remote management cards. Work closely via telephony with customer's IS group to offer complete outsourced services. Crucial fields of in-depth knowledge include Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, security, server monitoring, and system infrastructure. The Senior Online Support Engineer will resolve software problems such as desktop program integration issues, server trouble, data service issues, and connectivity issues, without physical presence, as long as the customer environment permits.

Duties

Support and repair Windows 2000/2003 based IT networks. Work remotely to diagnose and repair both emergency and lingering problems concerned with uptime, protection, throughput, access, and overall functionality. Well-developed empathy and telephony-based communications skills.

Install and configure Microsoft Windows-based program servers and .NET hosts. Configure and integrate Microsoft Windows 7, Microsoft Windows Vista and Windows XP desktop environments. Setup and evaluate various IT services and programs.

Design and deploy IT architectures and security strategies to support client's corporate plans.

Support and administer Microsoft Outlook with back-end Microsoft Exchange host, Microsoft Office suite, phone communications, and high-speed Internet access.

Plan and perform migrations to Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Windows Exchange Server.

Optimize network uptime and performance through fault-tolerant configuration, smart system architecture, and proactive network monitoring.

Create updated records of the system as it evolves.

Spec out and order new server and network hardware and/or software in order to promote client's business success and to host new programs.


Qualifications/
Education

Minimum Professional Background
7 years background in desktop and server management new program installation, hardware setup, problem isolation and repair).

Proven technical repair and diagnostic skills, ability to implement fast resolutions to technical issues.

Background in business program help (Microsoft products in a range of customer environments.

Experience with offsite network monitoring utilities and remote repair methodologies.

Proven talent to work effectively in a virtual office infrastructure, delivering consistent follow-up and using offsite connectivity and wireless access tools.

Excellent verbal and written communication ability.

Accustomed to working in a group environment.

Demonstrated dedication and commitment to providing continuous operations.
