Main Activities

Assist a range of small business customers to maintain IT networks online, using state-of-the-art technology such as rules-based diagnostics and remote management cards. Work extensively via telephony with client's IS group to offer complete outsourced services. Crucial fields of in-depth knowledge include Exchange and Outlook, Active Directory, protection, server monitoring, and network architecture. The Senior Remote Support Engineer will troubleshoot software problems such as desktop application compatibility issues, server trouble, data service issues, and connectivity problems, without onsite presence, if the customer environment permits.

Support and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows 2K, 2003, and Windows 7 based information networks. Work online to identify and repair both urgent and chronic problems concerned with availability, protection, throughput, access, and general functionality. Excellent sensitivity and telephony-based communications skills.

Install and integrate Windows-based application servers and .NET servers. Set up and deploy Microsoft Windows 7, Windows Vista and Microsoft Windows XP desktop environments. Install and evaluate various IT services and applications.

Design and build information technology infrastructures and security approaches to support client's corporate goals.

Service and administer Microsoft Outlook with back-end Microsoft Exchange host, Microsoft Office applications, phone communications, and high-speed Internet connections.

Design and implement upgrades to Windows XP and Windows Server, Active Directory, and Windows Exchange Server.

Optimize network uptime and throughput by means of zero-downtime configuration, smart network infrastructure, and proactive server monitoring.

Produce updated records of the system as it changes.

Spec out and order updated server and communications equipment and/or software in order to promote customer's business success and to support new programs.


Required Work Background
7 years experience in desktop and server management new program integration, hardware configuration, problem identification and repair).

Proven network repair and diagnostic capability, knowledge to implement fast workarounds to technical issues.

Experience in professional software help (Windows family products).

Experience in a variety of client environments.

Experience with offsite server monitoring tools and offsite troubleshooting methodologies.

Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a virtual office infrastructure, delivering reliable follow-through and using offsite connectivity and mobile access tools.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Effectiveness when working in a group project.

Demonstrated dedication and commitment to providing continuous operations.

Operates independently and shows strong characteristics of responsibility and initiative.

Microsoft MCSE.

Cisco Accreditation (CCDA, CCIE or similar).

2-year degree in computer technology, or equivalent experience.
