Essential Activities

Help a variety of small company customers to maintain IT networks remotely, utilizing state-of-the-art tools including automated monitoring and virtual office connections. Cooperate closely via phone with client's IT staff to offer complete outsourced services. Crucial areas of in-depth knowledge include Exchange and Outlook, Active Directory, security, network monitoring, and network infrastructure. The Expert Remote Service Engineer will resolve application problems including desktop application compatibility issues, server trouble, data service problems, and connectivity problems, without physical presence, as long as the client environment permits.

Duties

Service and repair Windows 2K, 2003, and Windows 7 based information systems. Operate remotely to identify and resolve both urgent and lingering problems concerned with uptime, security, throughput, access, and overall functionality. Excellent empathy and telephony-based communications skills.

Install and integrate Microsoft Windows-based application servers and .NET servers. Set up and integrate Microsoft Windows 7, Windows Vista and Microsoft Windows XP workstation environments. Setup and analyze various IT services and programs.

Design and deploy information technology architectures and security strategies to align with client's business goals.

Support and administer Microsoft Outlook with backoffice Exchange host, Office suite, telephony, and high-speed Internet access.

Plan and perform upgrades to Microsoft Windows XP and Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Windows Exchange 2003.

Maximize network uptime and throughput by means of fault-tolerant configuration, smart system infrastructure, and automated server monitoring.

Create updated documentation of the environment as it changes.

Specify and order updated server and network equipment and/or software to promote client's business growth and to support new programs.


Qualifications/
Schooling

Minimum Professional Background
7 years background in desktop and server management new program installation, machine setup, problem isolation and resolution).

Strong technical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, ability to deploy quick resolutions to integration issues.

Background in business software help (Microsoft products in a variety of client infrastructures.

Familiarity with remote server monitoring utilities and remote repair methodologies.

Demonstrated talent to operate effectively in a virtual office environment, delivering consistent follow-up and using offsite connectivity and wireless connectivity technology.

Strong verbal and written communication ability.

Accustomed to operating in a group project.

Demonstrated dedication and commitment to providing continuous operations.

Operates unsupervised and demonstrates strong sense of responsibility and initiative.

Education
Microsoft MCSE.

Cisco Accreditation (CCDA, CCIE or similar).
