Primary Activities

Assist a variety of small business customers to support IT systems online, utilizing advanced tools including rules-based diagnostics and remote management cards. Work extensively via phone with customer's IT group to provide complete outsourced services. Vital fields of expertise include Exchange-based email, Active Directory, security, server monitoring, and network infrastructure. The Sr. Remote Service Specialist will resolve application problems including PC program integration issues, server trouble, data access problems, and connectivity issues, without physical access, as long as the client environment permits.

Duties

Support and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 powered IT networks. Operate online to diagnose and repair both emergency and chronic issues concerned with availability, security, throughput, access, and overall efficiency. Excellent sensitivity and phone-based communications skills.

Set up and configure Windows-powered program servers and .NET servers. Set up and deploy Microsoft Windows 7, Microsoft Windows Vista and Microsoft Windows XP desktop environments. Install and analyze a variety of information services and applications.

Plan and deploy information technology architectures and protection strategies to support customer's business goals.

Support and manage Outlook clients with backoffice Exchange server, Office applications, telecom, and broadband Internet connections.

Design and perform upgrades to Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Windows Exchange 2003.

Optimize network uptime and throughput by means of zero-downtime design, smart system infrastructure, and proactive server monitoring.

Create updated records of the environment as it changes.

Specify and procure new server and network hardware and/or software to promote customer's business success and to support new programs.


Qualifications/
Schooling

Minimum Work Experience
7 years experience in desktop and server administration new program integration, machine setup, problem isolation and repair).

Proven technical troubleshooting and analysis skills, knowledge to implement fast workarounds to integration issues.

Experience in professional program help (Microsoft Background in a variety of customer environments.

Familiarity with offsite network monitoring tools and offsite repair methodologies.

Proven ability to operate efficiently in a virtual office infrastructure, delivering consistent follow-up and utilizing offsite connectivity and wireless connectivity tools.

Strong verbal and written communication ability.

Accustomed to operating in a team project.

Demonstrated dedication and commitment to providing continuous operations.

Operates independently and demonstrates strong characteristics of ownership and motivation.

Education/Certification
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.

Cisco Accreditation (CCIE, CCNA, CCDA or equivalent).
