Functions and
Responsibilities

Work with clients' internal IT staffs and Progent’s consulting team to provide a broad range of Citrix technology consulting services.

Help clients design, install, and maintain multi-user computing solutions based on Citrix XenApp. Help clients upgrade from earlier versions of Citrix XenApp, MetaFrame or Presentation Server.

Help clients plan, implement, manage, and troubleshoot environments that utilize XenApp-based server farms for load balancing and fault tolerance and for application sharing.

Provide expertise with Citrix XenServer to help clients design, deploy, manage and support virtualization solutions.

Help clients develop mechanisms for provisioning new virtual servers quickly and easily by implementing Citrix Essentials for Hyper-V– Management platform for Xen and Hyper-V virtual environments.

Minimum Requirement Characteristics:
Must possess the self-discipline for a work-at-home structure, including being self motivated.

Must have good time-management skill and work effectively in a virtual office environment with no direct supervision and limited management oversight.

Strong written and oral communications skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Proactive communicator, must be extremely detail oriented, must be able to meet commitments and work deadlines.

Must be very comfortable communicating primarily via E-mail, Instant Messaging and telephone.

Works Independently and demonstrates strong sense of ownership and initiative.

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:
Citrix certified consultant with strong integration, troubleshooting, and communications skills, and the ability to implement quick, temporary workarounds to technical problems.

Familiarity with designing, implementing, testing, and troubleshooting networking solutions that incorporate Citrix technology including Citrix XenApp, Citrix XenServer, Citrix Essentials for Hyper-V, and Citrix Access Gateway.

Willingness to exchange information with clients and colleagues and to escalate problems to appropriate specialists when needed.

Ability to operate effectively in a virtual office environment, providing consistent follow-through and utilizing remote access and wireless connectivity technology. Familiarity with remote monitoring tools and remote troubleshooting techniques.
