Essential Activities

  • Support and repair Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-powered networks
  • Operate onsite and remotely to identify and resolve both urgent and lingering problems related to availability, security, capacity, accessibility, and overall productivity
  • Install, configure and debug apps on Windows Servers
  • Deploy, configure Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 desktops and notebooks
  • Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
  • Plan IT topologies including virtualized infrastructures and private/dedicated/hybrid cloud designs
  • Support and administer MS Outlook client with back office Exchange Server, MS Office suite, telephony, and Internet connectivity
  • Plan and implement upgrades to Microsoft desktop operating system, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange Server
  • Develop and test security policies including on-premises high availability, fault tolerance, backups and anti-virus as well as offsite or cloud-based disaster recovery
  • Efficient network design and 24x7 health monitoring


Minimum Work Experience Requirements
  • 10+ years’ background in PC, server management and IT Infrastructure support (new software installation, device setup, problem isolation and repair)
  • 5+ years consulting background
  • Ability to debug application issues such as workstation software compatibility problems, server issues, data service problems, and access problems
  • Background in business application support (Microsoft product family)
  • Demonstrated ability to operate efficiently in a virtual office setting, delivering consistent follow-up and using remote access and wireless connectivity technology
  • Works without supervision and demonstrates high level of responsibility and initiative
  • Has a reasonable understanding of networking layers 1 through 7 and strong troubleshooting capabilities in L1-L4
Credentials Needed
Current Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and/or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP:EA)
