Cisco's Meraki MR20 is an entry-level Wave 2 wireless AP intended for small office or home office (SOHO) use. The cloud-managed access point has 2x2:2 MU-MIMO technology with two spatial streams and delivers up to 1.3 Gbps combined performance with 866 Mbps data rates in the 5 GHz band and 400 Mbps data rates in the 2.4 GHz band. The Meraki MR20 AP includes Meraki's Air Marshal wireless intrusion prevention system for threat detection and attack remediation. The access point has a single 10/100/1000 BASE-T RJ45 connection but not a Bluetooth radio. The MR20 AP is desktop, ceiling, or wall mountable.
The Meraki MR42 AP is an 802.11ac Wave 2 access point for performance-critical and/or high-density wireless networks. The MR42 features 3x3:3 MU-MIMO technology with beamforming, provides a maximum transmission rate of 1.9 Gbit/sec, includes a GbE interface, and has an integrated BLE radio for scanning and Beaconing. The Cisco Meraki MR52 is a high-speed 802.11ac Wave 2 AP intended for high-density campus and enterprise venues. The 4-radio MR52 features 4x4 MU-MIMO with four spatial streams and beamforming, delivers wireless data rates of up to 2.5 Gbps, works with 160 MHz channels, comes with two Gigabit Ethernet ports, and features a Bluetooth BLE radio. The Meraki MR53 Wi-Fi AP has the same specs as the Meraki MR52 but has a single Gigabit Ethernet interface plus a 2.5 Gbps Multigigabit Ethernet port.
Cisco's Meraki MR30H access point is a wall switch unit intended for hospitality or dorm room venues and features 2x2 MU-MIMO 802.11ac Wave 2 support. The access point includes a built-in 4-port Gigabit Ethernet switch, and a Bluetooth radio for beaconing and scanning functions. The MR30H delivers combined throughput of up to 1.3 Gbps with concurrent 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios. Cisco's Meraki MR33 is a general-purpose access point that can be deployed in offices, classrooms, hospitals, retail stores and other active venues. The MR33 has the same feature set as the Meraki MR30H access point but is encased in a low-profile housing and lacks a integrated 4-port Gigabit Ethernet switch.
The Cisco Meraki MR57 WiFi 6E access point supports the 6 GHz band, more than doubling the wireless spectrum available to previous model WiFi APs. You can operate the MR57 either in dual 5 GHz mode or in 2.5/5/6 GHz mode. The max throughput for the Meraki MR57 device is 7.8 Gbps. The MR57 comes with dual configurable 1/2.5/5 Gbps Ethernet connections and is IoT capable with BLE and USB support.
Legacy Cisco Meraki Indoor Wi-Fi APs
The Cisco Meraki MR18 access point, which has been discontinued, is a wall or desktop mountable 802.11n compatible unit that can deliver aggregate performance of up to 600 Mbps with its concurrent 2x2:2 MIMO radios. This no-frills Wi-Fi access point is intended for use in moderate density venues. The Meraki MR32 is a wall, ceiling or desktop Wi-Fi access point with a 5 GHz 2x2:2 802.11ac radio and a 2.4 GHz 2x2:2 802.11n radio, delivering a top combined frame rate of 1.2 Gbit/s. This unit comes with a BLE radio for Beaconing and scanning and is designed for high-density venues such as schools, hotels, and enterprise offices.
The Meraki MR34 access point, which is at end-of-life status, is a 802.11ac unit that uses 3x3 MIMO technology with 1.75 Gbps throughput. Designed to support high density environments, the MR34 offers 802.af PoE (low-power mode) as well as 802.3at PoE+. The Meraki MR34 does not include Bluetooth BLE.
Meraki Cloud-managed Outdoor/Industrial Wi-Fi APs
Meraki outdoor access points are IP67 certified, designed to withstand rugged outdoor environments, and tested to resist dust, vibration and moisture. Cisco's mid-range Meraki MR66 Wi-Fi, AP has dual radios, delivers up to 600 Mbit/sec combined performance, and features 2x2 MIMO, beamforming, and multi-radio mesh. Cisco's high-performance Meraki MR72 is a three-radio Wi-Fi access point that supports data rates of up to 1.2 Gbps with concurrent 802.11ac and 802.11n 2x2:2 MIMO radios. A separate third radio is devoted to WIDS/WIPS security and RF optimization. The MR72 access point also incorporates a BLE radio for Beaconing and BLE scanning. The ultra-fast Meraki MR84 is a 4-radio outdoor AP engineered to handle difficult, high-density RF environments such as a stadium or other outdoor site. The MR84 features 4×4:4 MU-MIMO technology, 160 MHz channels, a 1 GigE interface and a Multigigabit port, and a built-in BLE radio.
