Cisco's Meraki MR20 is a value-priced Wave 2 wireless AP designed for small office or home office use. The cloud-managed access point features 2x2:2 MU-MIMO technology with two spatial streams and delivers as much as 1.3 Gbps combined throughput with 866 Mbps data rates in the 5 GHz band and 400 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band. The MR20 access point features Meraki's Air Marshal wireless intrusion prevention system for threat identification and attack remediation. The access point has one 10/100/1000 BASE-T Ethernet RJ45 port but not a BLE radio. The MR20 AP is desktop, ceiling, or wall mountable.
Cisco's Meraki MR42 access point is a Wave 2 access point for performance-critical and/or high-density wireless LANs. The MR42 supports 3x3:3 MU-MIMO with beamforming, delivers a top transmission rate of 1.9 Gbit/sec, includes a Gigabit Ethernet interface, and has a built-in BLE radio that provides scanning and Beaconing. The Cisco Meraki MR52 is a high-performance 802.11ac Wave 2 AP designed for densely populated campus and enterprise venues. The 4-radio MR52 uses 4x4 MU-MIMO with four spatial streams and beamforming, handles over-the-air data rates of up to 2.5 Gbps, supports 160 MHz channels, comes with two Gigabit Ethernet ports, and features a Bluetooth BLE radio. Cisco's Meraki MR53 Wi-Fi access point offers the same specs as the MR52 but includes one 1 GigE interface plus a 2.5 Gbps Multigigabit Ethernet port.
The Cisco Meraki MR30H AP is a wall switch unit intended for hospitality or dormitory venues and features 2x2 MU-MIMO Wave 2 technology. The access point has an integrated 4-port Gigabit Ethernet switch, and an integrated Bluetooth radio for beaconing and scanning functions. The MR30H delivers aggregate performance of up to 1.3 Gbps with simultaneous 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios. The Cisco Meraki MR33 is a general-purpose AP suitable for offices, classrooms, health care facilities, shops and other active environments. The MR33 has the same feature set as the MR30H access point but is encased in a slim housing and does not include a integrated 4-port GbE switch.
The Cisco Meraki MR57 WiFi 6E access point adds support for the 6 GHz band, offering double the wireless spectrum available to previous generation WiFi APs. You can deploy the MR57 in dual 5 GHz mode or in tri-band 2.5/5/6 mode. The highest throughput for the Meraki MR57 unit is 7.8 Gbps. The MR57 comes with dual configurable 1/2.5/5 Gbps Ethernet connections and is IoT capable thanks to Bluetooth Low Energy and USB support.
Legacy Cisco Meraki Indoor Wireless APs
Cisco's Meraki MR18 access point, which is at end-of-life status, is a wall or desktop mountable 802.11n device that can deliver combined performance as fast as 600 Mbps with its two 2x2:2 MIMO radios. This no-frills wireless AP is designed for use in low to moderate density environments. The Meraki MR32 is a wall, ceiling or desktop mountable Wi-Fi AP featuring a 5 GHz 2x2:2 802.11ac radio and a 2.4 GHz 2x2:2 802.11n radio, delivering a top dual-radio frame rate of 1.2 Gbit/s. This unit includes a Bluetooth BLE radio for Beaconing and scanning and is designed for high-density venues such as campuses, hotels, and large offices.
The Meraki MR34 access point, which is at end-of-life status, is a 802.11ac Wave 1 unit that uses 3x3 MIMO with 1.75 Gbps throughput. Intended to support high client densities, the MR34 offers 802.af PoE (low-power mode) and 802.3at PoE+. The Meraki MR34 does not include Bluetooth BLE.
Cisco Meraki Cloud-managed Outdoor/Industrial Wireless APs
Cisco's Meraki outdoor APs are IP67 rated, built to withstand harsh outdoor environments, and tested to resist dust, vibration and moisture. The Meraki MR62 is a value-priced, single-radio 802.11n outdoor Wi-Fi, access point that offers 300 Mbit/sec throughput and features a single-radio mesh and VPN connectivity for at-home workers. The mid-range Meraki MR66 wireless, access point features dual-concurrent radios with band steering, provides a maximum of 600 Mbit/sec combined performance, and features 2x2 MIMO technology, beamforming, and multi-radio mesh. Cisco's high-performance Meraki MR72 is a three-radio wireless AP that delivers throughput as high as 1.2 Gbps with combined 802.11ac and 802.11n 2x2:2 MIMO radios. An additional third radio is devoted to WIDS/WIPS security and automated RF optimization. The MR72 access point also incorporates a low-energy Bluetooth radio for Beaconing and scanning. The high-performance Meraki MR84 is a 4-radio outdoor access point designed to handle difficult, high-density RF environments like a stadium or other outdoor venue. The MR84 features 4×4:4 MU-MIMO, 160 MHz channels, a GbE port plus a Multigigabit port, and an integrated Bluetooth radio.
