Responsibilities
Support and repair Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-powered networks
Operate on premises and online to identify and fix urgent and lingering issues related to reliability, security, capacity, accessibility, and overall productivity
Deploy, setup and troubleshoot apps on Microsoft Windows Servers
Install, configure Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 desktop PCs and laptops
Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
Design information technology topologies including virtualized infrastructures and on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid cloud designs
Support and administer Microsoft Outlook client with back office Exchange Server, MS Office and Office 365, phone communications, and Internet connectivity
Plan and carry out upgrades to Microsoft desktop OS, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange Server
Design and test protection policies such as onsite high availability, fault tolerance, backup/restore and anti-virus as well as remote or cloud-centric disaster recovery
Efficient network architecture and 24x7 health monitoring and alerting
Qualifications/
Schooling
Minimum Work Experience Requirements
10+ years’ experience in desktop, server administration and IT Infrastructure support (new software installation, device provisioning, problem isolation and repair)
5+ years consulting experience
Ability to debug application issues such as desktop PC program compatibility issues, server problems, data service problems, and connectivity issues
Background in business software support (Microsoft product family)
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a virtual office setting, delivering consistent follow-through and utilizing remote access and mobile connectivity tools
Operates without supervision and demonstrates high level of responsibility and drive
Possess a working knowledge of networking layers 1 through 7 and excellent troubleshooting capabilities in layers 1 through 4
Credentials Required Current Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and/or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP:EA)
