Essential Responsibilities
Activities
Support and troubleshoot Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-powered IT environments
Operate on premises and remotely to analyze and fix urgent and lingering issues associated with availability, security, performance, connectivity, and general functionality
Install, configure and debug apps hosted on Microsoft Windows Servers
Install, setup Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7
Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
Design IT topologies including virtualized infrastructures and on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid cloud designs
Maintain and manage Microsoft Outlook client with back office Exchange, MS Office and Office 365, telephony, and Internet access
Plan and implement upgrades to MS desktop operating system, Windows Server, AD, and Microsoft Exchange
Develop and validate protection policies including on-premises high availability, resilience, backup/restore and anti-virus plus offsite or cloud-centric disaster recovery
Efficient system design and 24x7 health monitoring

Education
Minimum Work Experience Requirements
10+ years’ background in PC, server management and IT Infrastructure support (new software deployment, device provisioning, problem isolation and resolution)
5+ years consulting background
Ability to debug software application issues including desktop PC software compatibility issues, server problems, data service problems, and access problems
Experience in business productivity application assistance (Microsoft product family)
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a virtual office environment, providing consistent follow-through and using online access and wireless connectivity tools
Works independently and demonstrates high level of responsibility and drive
Has a reasonable knowledge of networking layers 1 through 7 and excellent troubleshooting capabilities in layers 1 through 4
