Main Activities
Activities
Support and repair Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-based networks
Work on premises and online to analyze and resolve urgent and lingering problems associated with availability, security, capacity, accessibility, and general functionality
Install, configure and debug apps hosted on Windows Servers
Install, configure Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 desktops and notebooks
Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
Plan IT architectures including virtualized infrastructures and on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid cloud models
Maintain and administer MS Outlook client with back office Microsoft Exchange, MS Office suite, telephony, and Internet connectivity
Design and implement updates to MS desktop operating system, Windows Server, AD, and Exchange
Design and validate protection policies including onsite high availability, fault tolerance, backups and anti-virus plus remote or cloud-based disaster recovery
Robust network architecture and proactive health monitoring
Qualifications/
Education
Minimum Work Experience Requirements
10+ years' background in desktop, server administration and IT Infrastructure support (new software deployment, device setup, problem isolation and resolution)
5+ years consulting background
Ability to troubleshoot application problems including desktop PC software compatibility issues, server issues, data service problems, and access issues
Experience in business application support (Microsoft products)
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a virtual office setting, providing consistent follow-through and taking advantage online access and wireless communication tools
Operates without supervision and demonstrates high level of ownership and drive
Possess a working knowledge of networking layers 1 through 7 and excellent debugging capabilities in L1-L4
Credentials Required Current Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and/or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP:EA)
