Senior Microsoft Computer Consultant
Work from home, virtual office environment
Maintain and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-based IT environments
Operate onsite and online to analyze and resolve both urgent and lingering issues related to reliability, protection, performance, connectivity, and general productivity
Install, configure and troubleshoot apps on Windows Servers
Install, configure Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7
Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
Plan information technology topologies including virtualized environments and private/dedicated/hybrid cloud designs
Maintain and manage Microsoft Outlook client with back office Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft Office and Office 365, telephony, and Internet access
Design and implement upgrades to MS desktop operating system, Windows Server, AD, and Exchange Server
Develop and validate security policies including on-premises high availability, resilience, backups and anti-virus as well as offsite or cloud-based disaster recovery
Efficient system design and 24x7 server monitoring
Minimum Work Experience Requirements
10+ years’ background in desktop, server administration and network Infrastructure support (new software deployment, machine provisioning, problem identification and repair)
5+ years consulting background
Ability to debug application issues including desktop PC program compatibility issues, server issues, data service issues, and connectivity problems
Background in business productivity application support (Microsoft product family)
Demonstrated ability to operate efficiently in a virtual office setting, delivering reliable follow-up and utilizing remote access and wireless connectivity tools
Operates independently and demonstrates high level of ownership and drive
Has a working knowledge of networking layers 1 through 7 and excellent debugging capabilities in L1-L4
Credentials Required Current Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and/or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP:EA)
