Sr. Microsoft Information Technology Consultant
Work from home, virtual office environment
Maintain and repair Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-based networks
Operate onsite and online to analyze and resolve urgent and ongoing issues associated with availability, protection, performance, accessibility, and general functionality
Deploy, configure and troubleshoot apps hosted on Microsoft Windows Servers
Deploy, configure Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 desktops and notebooks
Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
Plan information technology topologies including virtualized environments and on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid cloud designs
Maintain and administer Microsoft Outlook client with back office Exchange, MS Office suite, telephony, and Internet access
Plan and carry out upgrades to Microsoft desktop OS, Windows Server, AD, and Exchange Server
Design and validate security policies such as on-premises high availability, fault tolerance, backups and anti-virus plus offsite or cloud-centric disaster recovery
Efficient network design and 24x7 health monitoring
Minimum Work Experience Requirements
10+ years’ background in desktop, server administration and network Infrastructure support (new software deployment, device setup, problem isolation and repair)
5+ years consulting background
Ability to debug application problems including workstation software compatibility problems, server issues, data service problems, and connectivity problems
Background in business software assistance (Microsoft product family)
Proven ability to work effectively in a virtual office setting, delivering reliable follow-through and utilizing online access and mobile communication tools
Operates without supervision and shows strong sense of responsibility and drive
Possess a working understanding of networking layers L1-L7 and excellent debugging capabilities in layers 1 through 4
