Progent is seeking Desktop Support Consultants to help Progent's customers with maintenance, break/fix and project work. This is a 1099 consulting role that will be performed at Progent's client premises in the . Daytime availability is required, Monday through Friday. Our consultant will maintain and support clients of all desktop and laptop computers based on current Microsoft technologies. In addition, work extensively with client's executives, management, IT staff or under the direction or guidance of our senior consultant to support the customer's end users.

Main Responsibilities
Maintain, diagnose and resolve problems with all versions of Microsoft Windows-powered workstation and notebook computers and others as required.
Work directly with computer end users in helping to find and resolve app and operating system issues that hinder productivity
Install, integrate and test a variety of applications on user workstations
Work on-premises to diagnose and remediate both emergency and chronic issues that affect the stability, security, speed, connectivity, and overall functionality of workstations, laptops, printers and other hardware
Deploy new end-user hardware and perform other deployments, updates, and swaps of PCs, laptop computers and related equipment
Provide the timely diagnosis and repair of desktops and laptop computers and associated equipment
Remain current with an expert knowledge of PC and laptop computing applications and utilization of WAN technologies including the Internet
Experience/Education
Minimum Work Background Requirements
Three years experience in desktop PC administration new program configuration, computer and peripheral deployment, troubleshooting and resolution)
Strong computer debugging and fault isolation skill, talent to install temporary patches to solve computer problems and escalate support services when necessary
Broad experience providing software help to small companies for all Microsoft Windows operating systems, Office Suite, and Office 365 applications including Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel
Excellent speaking and written communication skills
