Activities
- Support and repair Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-powered networks
- Operate on premises and remotely to identify and fix urgent and ongoing problems related to availability, security, capacity, accessibility, and overall productivity
- Deploy, setup and troubleshoot apps on Windows Servers
- Deploy and configure Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 desktop PCs and laptops
- Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
- Plan IT topologies including virtualized infrastructures and on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid cloud models
- Support and administer MS Outlook client with back office Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft Office suite, telephony, and Internet access
- Plan and implement upgrades to MS desktop OS, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange Server
- Design and test protection policies including on-premises high availability, fault tolerance, backups and AV as well as remote or cloud-centric disaster recovery
- Efficient system architecture and 24x7 health monitoring
- 10+ years background in desktop, server administration and network Infrastructure support (new software deployment, device setup, problem isolation and resolution)
- 5+ years consulting background
- Ability to debug software application issues including desktop PC software compatibility issues, server issues, data service problems, and connectivity issues
- Background in business productivity software support (Microsoft product family)
- Demonstrated ability to operate efficiently in a virtual office environment, providing reliable follow-through and using remote access and mobile connectivity technology
- Operates independently and shows strong sense of responsibility and initiative
- Possess a working understanding of networking layers L1-L7 and excellent debugging capabilities in L1-L4
