Main Activities
Activities
- Maintain and repair Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-based networks
- Operate onsite and online to analyze and resolve both urgent and lingering problems related to availability, protection, capacity, connectivity, and overall productivity
- Deploy, setup and debug applications on Microsoft Windows Servers
- Install and integrate Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 desktops and notebooks
- Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
- Plan information technology architectures including virtualized infrastructures and private/dedicated/hybrid cloud designs
- Maintain and manage MS Outlook client with back office Exchange, Microsoft Office and Office 365, phone communications, and Internet connectivity
- Plan and implement upgrades to MS desktop operating system, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange Server
- Develop and validate protection policies including onsite high availability, resilience, backups and anti-virus plus remote or cloud-centric disaster recovery
- Efficient network architecture and proactive health monitoring
- 10+ years background in desktop, server administration and network Infrastructure support (new software deployment, machine provisioning, problem identification and resolution)
- 5+ years consulting experience
- Ability to debug application problems such as workstation software compatibility problems, server problems, data service problems, and access issues
- Experience in business application assistance (Microsoft product family)
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a virtual office environment, delivering consistent follow-up and taking advantage remote access and wireless connectivity technology
- Works without supervision and demonstrates high level of responsibility and drive
- Has a reasonable understanding of network layers L1-L7 and excellent troubleshooting capabilities in layers 1 through 4
