Key areas of knowledge include system architecture, Active Directory design and troubleshooting, Exchange-based email, security, and server monitoring.

Essential Activities
Responsibilities
- Support and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-powered networks
- Operate on premises and remotely to analyze and resolve urgent and lingering issues associated with availability, security, performance, connectivity, and overall functionality
- Install, setup and troubleshoot apps hosted on Microsoft Windows Servers
- Install and integrate Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 desktop PCs and laptops
- Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
- Design information technology topologies including virtualized environments and on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid cloud models
- Support and manage Microsoft Outlook client with back office Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft Office and Office 365, phone communications, and Internet access
- Design and carry out updates to Microsoft desktop operating system, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Exchange Server
- Develop and validate security policies including on-premises high availability, resilience, backups and anti-virus plus offsite or cloud-based disaster recovery
- Efficient system design and 24x7 server monitoring and alerting
- 10+ years background in desktop, server administration and network Infrastructure support (new software installation, machine setup, problem identification and resolution)
- 5+ years consulting background
- Ability to troubleshoot application problems such as workstation program compatibility issues, server problems, data service problems, and connectivity issues
- Background in business application support (Microsoft products)
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a virtual office environment, providing reliable follow-up and using remote access and wireless connectivity tools
- Operates independently and demonstrates high level of ownership and drive
- Has a working knowledge of networking layers L1-L7 and strong debugging skills in L1-L4
