Essential Activities
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-powered networks
- Work onsite and online to analyze and fix both urgent and ongoing problems related to availability, protection, performance, accessibility, and general productivity
- Install, configure and debug applications hosted on Microsoft Windows Servers
- Deploy and integrate Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7
- Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
- Plan information technology topologies including virtualized environments and private/dedicated/hybrid cloud designs
- Support and manage Microsoft Outlook client with back office Microsoft Exchange Server, MS Office suite, phone communications, and Internet access
- Design and carry out updates to MS desktop operating system, Windows Server, AD, and Microsoft Exchange
- Design and validate security policies such as on-premises high availability, resilience, backups and AV as well as offsite or cloud-based disaster recovery
- Robust network architecture and proactive server monitoring and alerting
- 10+ years background in desktop, server administration and network Infrastructure support (new software installation, device setup, problem isolation and repair)
- 5+ years consulting experience
- Ability to troubleshoot application problems including workstation software compatibility issues, server issues, data service problems, and access issues
- Experience in business software support (Microsoft products)
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a virtual office environment, delivering consistent follow-through and utilizing remote access and wireless communication technology
- Works without supervision and shows high level of responsibility and drive
- Has a working understanding of network layers L1-L7 and strong debugging capabilities in layers 1 through 4
