Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-based networks
- Operate on premises and remotely to identify and fix urgent and lingering issues related to reliability, protection, capacity, accessibility, and overall functionality
- Deploy, configure and debug applications on Windows Servers
- Deploy and configure Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7
- Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
- Design information technology topologies including virtualized environments and private/dedicated/hybrid cloud designs
- Maintain and administer Microsoft Outlook client with back office Exchange, MS Office and Office 365, phone communications, and Internet connectivity
- Plan and carry out updates to MS desktop operating system, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange
- Design and test protection policies such as onsite high availability, resilience, backup/restore and AV as well as remote or cloud-based disaster recovery
- Robust system architecture and 24x7 server monitoring
- 10+ years background in PC, server administration and IT Infrastructure support (new software installation, device provisioning, problem identification and resolution)
- 5+ years consulting experience
- Ability to troubleshoot software application issues including desktop PC program compatibility issues, server problems, data service problems, and access problems
- Experience in business productivity software support (Microsoft products)
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a virtual office environment, providing reliable follow-up and taking advantage online access and wireless connectivity tools
- Operates without supervision and demonstrates strong sense of ownership and drive
- Possess a working understanding of network layers L1-L7 and strong debugging skills in L1-L4
