Progent is seeking experienced Senior Microsoft information technology consultants in the NY Metro Area, Los Angeles, and Pittsburgh PA to assist a range of small and midsize organizations to manage networks powered by Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Server 2019, 2016, 2012, 2008, and Microsoft Exchange 2007 through 2019. Key areas of knowledge include network infrastructure, Active Directory design and troubleshooting, Exchange-based email, security, and server monitoring.

Primary Responsibilities
Activities
- Support and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-based networks
- Operate onsite and remotely to analyze and resolve both urgent and lingering issues related to availability, protection, capacity, accessibility, and general functionality
- Deploy, configure and debug applications hosted on Windows Servers
- Install and integrate Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7
- Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
- Plan IT architectures including virtualized infrastructures and on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid cloud designs
- Support and administer MS Outlook client with back office Microsoft Exchange Server, MS Office and Office 365, telephony, and Internet connectivity
- Design and carry out updates to Microsoft desktop OS, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Exchange Server
- Develop and test protection policies including onsite high availability, resilience, backups and AV plus offsite or cloud-based disaster recovery
- Efficient network architecture and proactive health monitoring
- 10+ years background in PC, server management and network Infrastructure support (new software deployment, device provisioning, problem identification and resolution)
- 5+ years consulting background
- Ability to troubleshoot application issues such as desktop PC program compatibility issues, server issues, data service problems, and connectivity issues
- Experience in business software support (Microsoft products)
- Proven ability to work effectively in a virtual office setting, providing reliable follow-up and using online access and wireless communication tools
- Works without supervision and demonstrates strong sense of ownership and drive
- Has a reasonable understanding of network layers L1-L7 and excellent debugging capabilities in L1-L4
