Main Activities
Responsibilities
- Support and repair Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-powered IT environments
- Work on premises and online to identify and resolve both urgent and ongoing problems associated with availability, protection, performance, connectivity, and general productivity
- Deploy, setup and troubleshoot apps hosted on Windows Servers
- Install and integrate Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 desktop PCs and laptops
- Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
- Design information technology architectures including virtualized infrastructures and private/dedicated/hybrid cloud models
- Support and manage MS Outlook client with back office Exchange Server, Microsoft Office suite, phone communications, and Internet connectivity
- Design and implement upgrades to Microsoft desktop OS, Windows Server, AD, and Microsoft Exchange Server
- Design and validate protection policies such as onsite high availability, fault tolerance, backup/restore and anti-virus as well as offsite or cloud-based disaster recovery
- Efficient network architecture and 24x7 server monitoring
- 10+ years experience in desktop, server management and network Infrastructure support (new software installation, machine setup, problem isolation and resolution)
- 5+ years consulting background
- Ability to troubleshoot software application problems such as workstation program compatibility problems, server issues, data service issues, and access problems
- Background in business productivity application assistance (Microsoft products)
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a virtual office setting, providing consistent follow-through and taking advantage remote access and mobile communication technology
- Operates independently and shows high level of ownership and drive
- Has a working understanding of network layers 1 through 7 and excellent troubleshooting skills in layers 1 through 4
