Primary Responsibilities
Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-powered IT environments
• Operate on premises and remotely to identify and fix both urgent and ongoing problems related to reliability, security, performance, accessibility, and overall functionality
• Deploy, configure and debug applications on Windows Servers
• Deploy and configure Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7
• Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
• Design IT topologies including virtualized environments and on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid cloud designs
• Maintain and manage Microsoft Outlook client with back office Exchange, Microsoft Office and Office 365, phone communications, and Internet connectivity
• Design and carry out updates to Microsoft desktop OS, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Exchange
• Develop and validate protection policies such as on-premises high availability, resilience, backup/restore and anti-virus plus offsite or cloud-based disaster recovery
• Robust network design and proactive server monitoring and alerting

• 10+ years background in desktop, server management and IT Infrastructure support (new software installation, machine provisioning, problem isolation and resolution)
• 5+ years consulting background
• Ability to troubleshoot application issues including workstation program compatibility issues, server problems, data service problems, and access issues
• Experience in business application assistance (Microsoft products)
• Demonstrated ability to operate efficiently in a virtual office setting, delivering reliable follow-up and using remote access and mobile connectivity technology
• Operates independently and demonstrates strong sense of responsibility and initiative
• Possess a working knowledge of networking layers L1-L7 and strong debugging skills in layers 1 through 4
