Main Responsibilities
Activities
- Support and troubleshoot Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-based networks
- Work onsite and remotely to identify and resolve both urgent and lingering problems related to reliability, protection, performance, connectivity, and general functionality
- Install, setup and debug applications on Microsoft Windows Servers
- Deploy and configure Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 desktop PCs and laptops
- Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
- Design information technology topologies including virtualized environments and on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid cloud models
- Maintain and manage Microsoft Outlook client with back office Microsoft Exchange, MS Office suite, telephony, and Internet access
- Design and carry out upgrades to Microsoft desktop operating system, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Exchange Server
- Develop and test security policies such as on-premises high availability, resilience, backup/restore and anti-virus as well as remote or cloud-based disaster recovery
- Efficient system architecture and 24x7 health monitoring and alerting
- 10+ years background in desktop, server management and IT Infrastructure support (new software deployment, device provisioning, problem identification and repair)
- 5+ years consulting background
- Ability to debug software application problems including desktop PC software compatibility issues, server issues, data service problems, and connectivity problems
- Background in business productivity software support (Microsoft products)
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a virtual office setting, delivering consistent follow-through and utilizing online access and wireless communication technology
- Works without supervision and shows strong sense of responsibility and drive
- Has a reasonable understanding of network layers 1 through 7 and strong debugging skills in L1-L4
