Primary Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Support and repair Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-based networks
- Work on premises and remotely to identify and fix urgent and ongoing issues related to reliability, protection, capacity, accessibility, and general functionality
- Install, configure and debug apps hosted on Microsoft Windows Servers
- Deploy and configure Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 desktop PCs and laptops
- Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
- Plan IT architectures including virtualized environments and on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid cloud designs
- Support and administer Microsoft Outlook client with back office Microsoft Exchange Server, MS Office and Office 365, telephony, and Internet access
- Plan and carry out upgrades to MS desktop OS, Windows Server, AD, and Microsoft Exchange Server
- Develop and validate security policies including on-premises high availability, resilience, backups and AV plus offsite or cloud-based disaster recovery
- Robust system architecture and proactive health monitoring
- 10+ years background in PC, server management and IT Infrastructure support (new software installation, machine provisioning, problem identification and resolution)
- 5+ years consulting background
- Ability to troubleshoot application issues including desktop PC software compatibility problems, server issues, data service issues, and connectivity problems
- Experience in business application assistance (Microsoft product family)
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a virtual office environment, delivering reliable follow-up and utilizing remote access and wireless connectivity tools
- Works without supervision and demonstrates strong sense of ownership and drive
- Has a reasonable knowledge of networking layers 1 through 7 and excellent troubleshooting skills in layers 1 through 4
