Primary Activities
Responsibilities
- Support and repair Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-based networks
- Work onsite and online to analyze and resolve both urgent and ongoing problems related to reliability, security, performance, connectivity, and general productivity
- Deploy, setup and debug apps hosted on Windows Servers
- Deploy and configure Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 desktop PCs and laptops
- Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
- Design information technology topologies including virtualized environments and private/dedicated/hybrid cloud models
- Support and manage Microsoft Outlook client with back office Exchange Server, Microsoft Office suite, phone communications, and Internet access
- Design and carry out updates to Microsoft desktop OS, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Exchange Server
- Design and test protection policies such as on-premises high availability, resilience, backup/restore and AV as well as remote or cloud-based disaster recovery
- Efficient system design and proactive server monitoring and alerting
- 10+ years background in PC, server administration and network Infrastructure support (new software installation, machine provisioning, problem isolation and repair)
- 5+ years consulting experience
- Ability to troubleshoot application issues such as workstation software compatibility problems, server problems, data service issues, and connectivity problems
- Experience in business software assistance (Microsoft products)
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a virtual office environment, delivering reliable follow-up and utilizing remote access and wireless connectivity tools
- Works independently and demonstrates strong sense of ownership and drive
- Possess a reasonable understanding of networking layers L1-L7 and strong debugging skills in layers 1 through 4
