Progent is looking for Desktop Support Consultants to help Progent's customers with maintenance, break/fix and project work. This is a 1099 consulting role that will be performed at Progent's client premises in the . Daytime availability is needed, Monday through Friday. Our consultant will maintain and support clients of all desktop and laptop computers based on current Microsoft technologies. Also, work extensively with client's executives, management, IT staff or under the direction or guidance of Progent's senior consultant to support the client's end users.

Exchange-based Outlook email
Microsoft software products, PC desktop, laptop and peripheral setup, offsite access for users
Setup and validate Virtual Private Network (VPN) configurations
Basic network management, such as user maintenance
Maintain, diagnose and troubleshoot problems with all releases of Microsoft Windows-based desktop and notebook computer systems and others as needed.

Minimum Professional Background Requirements
Three years experience in workstation administration new program configuration, computer and peripheral deployment, troubleshooting and mitigation)
Strong computer debugging and fault isolation skill, talent to implement temporary patches to solve computer problems and escalate support when necessary
In-depth experience delivering software help to small companies for all Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Office 365 apps including Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel
Excellent speaking and written communication ability
