Progent is looking for Desktop Support Consultants to help our customers with maintenance, break/fix and project work. This is a 1099 consulting role that will be performed at Progent's customer sites in the . Daytime availability is required, Monday through Friday. Our consultant will maintain and support users of all desktop and notebook computers powered by current Microsoft technologies. In addition, work closely with customer's executives, management, IT staff or under the direction or guidance of Progent's senior consultant to support the client's end users.

Maintain, diagnose and troubleshoot problems with all versions of Windows-based workstation and notebook systems and others as required.
Work directly with computer users in assisting to find and resolve application and operating system problems that hinder user productivity
Deploy, configure and test a variety of software programs on user workstations
Work on-premises to diagnose and resolve both urgent and persistent problems that impact the stability, security, performance, connectivity, and general functionality of desktops, laptops, imaging devices and other end user equipment
Deploy new end-user hardware and perform other installations, updates, and swaps of workstations, laptop computers and associated hardware
Provide the timely diagnosis and repair of PCs and laptop computers and related equipment
Remain updated with an expert knowledge of workstation and notebook computing applications and utilization of WAN technologies including the Internet
