Progent is seeking Desktop Support Experts to assist our clients with maintenance, break/fix and project work. This is a 1099 consulting role that will be performed at our customer sites in the . Daytime availability is required, Monday through Friday. Our consultant will maintain and support users of all desktop and laptop computers based on current Microsoft technologies. Also, work closely with customer's executives, management, IT group or under the direction or guidance of Progent's senior consultant to support the client's end users.

Required Areas of Expertise
Exchange-based Outlook email
Microsoft software products, PC desktop, laptop and peripheral integration, offsite connectivity for users
Setup and validate Virtual Private Network (VPN) configurations
Basic network management, such as user maintenance
Support, analyze and resolve issues with all releases of Microsoft Windows-based workstation and laptop computer systems and others as needed.
Work directly with computer end users in assisting to identify and fix application and OS problems that impact productivity
Install, configure and verify a range of applications on user PCs
Work on-site to find and fix both emergency and chronic issues that affect the stability, security, speed, connectivity, and general functionality of desktops, notebooks, imaging devices and other hardware
Install new end-user equipment and help with other deployments, updates, and exchanges of PCs, laptop computers and related equipment
Assure the timely analysis and remediation of workstations and notebooks and related hardware
Stay up-to-date with advanced knowledge of PC and notebook computing applications and utilization of WAN technologies including the Internet
Minimum Professional Background Requirements
Three years background in workstation admin new program configuration, computer and peripheral deployment, trouble analysis and mitigation)
Strong computer troubleshooting and fault isolation ability, talent to implement temporary patches to solve computer issues and escalate support when required
In-depth experience delivering software help to small companies for all Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Office 365 programs such as Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel
High-level speaking and written communication ability
Proven commitment to facilitating continuous operations
Operate independently and display distinct quality of ownership and motivation
