This is a 1099 consulting position that will be performed at Progent's client premises in the . Daytime availability is needed, Monday through Friday. Our consultant will maintain and support clients of all desktop and notebook computers powered by the latest Microsoft technologies. Also, work extensively with customer's executives, management, IT staff or under the direction or guidance of our senior consultant to support the customer's end users.

Required Areas of Expertise
Microsoft Exchange-based Outlook email
Microsoft software products, workstation, notebook and peripheral setup, offsite access for teleworkers and mobile users
Setup and validate Virtual Private Network (VPN) configurations
Basic network management, including user maintenance
Maintain, analyze and resolve issues with all versions of Microsoft Windows-based workstation and notebook computers and others as required.
Work with computer end users in assisting to identify and fix app and OS issues that disrupt user productivity
Deploy, configure and verify a variety of applications on user workstations
Operate on-premises to find and fix both urgent and chronic issues that affect the stability, security, performance, connectivity, and overall capability of workstations, notebooks, imaging devices and other hardware
Deploy new end-user equipment and help with other deployments, updates, and exchanges of PCs, notebooks and related hardware
Assure the timely diagnosis and repair of desktops and laptop computers and related hardware
Remain updated with an expert knowledge of workstation and laptop applications and use of connectivity infrastructure including the Internet
Minimum Work Experience Requirements
Three years experience in desktop PC administration new software setup, computer and peripheral integration, trouble analysis and correction)
Strong computer troubleshooting and fault isolation skill, talent to implement short-term patches to resolve computer problems and escalate support services when required
Broad experience delivering software assistance to small organizations for all Microsoft Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and Office 365 applications including Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel
High-level speaking and written communication ability
Demonstrated dedication to facilitating continuous productivity
Operate independently and display marked characteristics of responsibility and motivation
