The Experts Team is our way to provide customers the services of specialized computer support engineers who have advanced knowledge and work experience in key areas beyond Progent's core focus in system support and security. Experts Group consultants are typically independent contractors and occasionally "moonlighters" who are carefully premier by Progent to work closely with our in-house consultants to deliver end-to-end, world-class information technology solutions to small and midsize businesses. Progent is always enhancing the Experts Group to meet the special requirements of our clients.

• Progent will share partner-only benefits from top technology companies such as Microsoft and Cisco, including free ordiscounted educational seminars, on-line connections to special vendor troubleshooting tools and product maintenance resources, and on-line internal use software for education or sales purposes.
• You will have the security of backup coverage from Progent's staff consultants and other Expert Team members in the event you are unavailable to respond to client demands due to work schedule conflicts, vacation, sickness, or training.
• As a 1099 subcontractor to Progent, you get simplified, risk-free invoicing and consistent payment schedules. In addition, Progent is responsible for receivables collection

There is not any fee to become a member of our Experts Team, but we do have these qualifications for membership:

• You should show a strong background as a consultant working independently in your field of expertise, including a minimum two year record of successful consulting jobs or you must have your own active customer base for which you currently provide ongoing support activity.
• You need to demonstrate that you have expertise in your field of specialization, including showing an extensive task-relevant record and excellent references, and have up-to-date vendor and/or institutional professional qualifications.
• You must know how to present yourself in a professional way and be self motivated and assured in your abilities. You need to have excellent people skills and know how to work successfully by yourself or as a member of a group.
• You must know how to explain realistic expectations to customers and fellow Progent consultants and you need to know how evaluate projects, produce task plans, and define realistic time lines.
