- ProSight Network Audit Basic: Network Infrastructure Audit
ProSight Network Audit Basic gathers and organizes important server and PC information and optionally reports information about additional network-attached items. This low-cost audit includes one year of remote network monitoring based on Progent's ProSight WAN Watch remote monitoring and management technology. Within 10 days after the audit begins, Progent delivers all documents generated by ProSight WAN Watch. These items include the Active Directory Health Check document presented by a Progent Microsoft consultant. The Active Directory Health Check document includes identified misconfigurations or other errors and suggests efficient remediation based on best practices.
An important deliverable of the ProSight Network Audit Basic service is the Active Directory (AD) Health Check. This report describes the state of AD, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy; compares the configuration of these services to best practices; and suggests how any indentified errors or misconfiguration could be corrected. This can be a valuable service because a carelessly maintained Active Directory and related services can result in severe consequences like full network failures, significant delays in authentication or access to file or print services, complete data loss, slow downs in recovery, security gaps, and erratic online performance.
