Ubiquiti's UniFi Series of Wi-Fi Access Points
Ubiquiti's UniFi series of wireless APs includes several product families intended for various applications, topologies and IT budgets. Ubiquiti has both indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi APs, and the series includes desktop, wall-mount and ceiling-mountable units. The UAP-AC-LR offers 3x3 MIMO in the 2.4 GHz band and 2x2 MIMO for 5 GHz. The 2.4 GHz radio supports a max of 450 Mbps performance, and the 5 GHz radio supports a maximum of 867 Mbps.
The UniFi UAP-AC-PRO wireless AP is engineered to withstand indirect weather conditions and can be installed indoors or in a covered outdoor site. The UniFi UAP-AC-PRO includes two GbE Ethernet ports and has 3x3 MIMO technology in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, delivering data rates as high as 450 Mbps at 2.4 GHz and 1,300 Mbps for the 5 GHz radio. The UAP-AC-PRO supports up to 200 client devices. A low-profile in-wall version, UniFi's UAP-AC-IW-PRO, plugs directly into an Ethernet wall interface and does not have an extra Ethernet connection. The UAP-AC-EDU Wi-Fi access point is designed for schools and offers performance the same as UniFi's UAP-AC-PRO but is larger, includes only one Gigabit Ethernet port, is engineered for indoor use, and incorporates a loudspeaker to support a wireless PA system.
The ultra-compact and high-capacity UAP-nanoHD indoor access point features 4x4 MU-MIMO, delivers 300 Mbps performance for the 2.4 GHz radio and 1,733 Mbps performance at 5 GHz, handles up to 200 simultaneous client devices, and has one Gigabit Ethernet interface. The UniFi UAP-nanoHD is available in a selection of skins to fit in with different decors. The UniFi UAP-HD access point is designed for crowded indoor or outdoor deployments. This large-footprint wireless access point offers 4x4 MU-MIMO, delivers 800 Mbps throughput for the 2.4 GHz radio and 1,733 Mbps throughput for the 5 GHz radio, and supports up to 500 users. The UAP-HD has two ports for 10/100/1000 Ethernet.
The UAP-AC-M and UAP-AC-M-PRO Wi-Fi APs are mesh devices intended for large outdoor venues, such as a park, with little if any network infrastructure, or for rapid set up/tear down scenarios like a music festival or fair. Both these mesh access points can support over 250 concurrent users. The UAP-AC-M features 2x2 MIMO and has a variety of mounting and antenna alternatives for indoor or outdoor use. Ubiquiti's UniFi XG AP is a quad-radio 802.11ac Wave 2 Wi-Fi access point designed for very high-density venues like a convention center. The UniFi XG AP features a 4x4 MIMO 2.4 GHz client radio that delivers 800 Mbps throughput plus two 4x4 MIMO 5 GHz radios capable of 1.733 Gbps throughput. The wireless access point can handle 1 concurrent users. A dedicated security radio continuously scans for threats like malicious frames and rogue access points. Ubiquiti's UniFi U6 Lite can handle more than 300 simultaneous client devices, incorporates standard PoE, and comes with a GbE RJ45 network connection. The UniFi U6 Long-Range WiFi AP offers increased signal range for indoor and outdoor deployments. The UniFi U6 L-R access point offers 4x4 MIMO at 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz and offers a combined throughput rate of 3 Gbps. Ubiquiti's UniFi U6 L-P supports more than 350 concurrent client devices, provides PoE+, and includes a GbE RJ45 network interface. The UniFi U6 Pro WiFi AP offers high performance for large offices. The UniFi U6 Pro features 4x4 MIMO at 2.4 and 5 GHz and delivers an aggregate data rate of 5.3 Gbps. The UniFi U6 Pro can handle more than 350 simultaneous clients, offers PoE+, and incorporates a GbE RJ45 network interface port.
Ubiquiti's triple-band UniFi U6 Enterprise AP is a WiFi 6E unit with an extra radio to support the 6 GHz band, opening up an additional 1.2 GHz of continuous, clean spectrum to support high-density environments like an Internet-of-Things site. Ubiquiti's UniFi U6 Enterprise AP features 2x2 MIMO for the 2.5 GHz band and 4x4 MIMO for both the 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands. Performance for the combined 2.4/5/6 GHz bands is 10.2 Gbps.
