Sr. Microsoft Information Technology Consultant
Home-based, virtual office environment
Maintain and repair Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-powered IT environments
Work on premises and online to identify and resolve urgent and ongoing issues related to reliability, security, performance, connectivity, and general productivity
Install, setup and troubleshoot applications hosted on Microsoft Windows Servers
Deploy, setup Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7
Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
Plan IT architectures including virtualized environments and on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid cloud designs
Maintain and administer Microsoft Outlook client with back office Exchange, Microsoft Office and Office 365, telephony, and Internet access
Design and carry out upgrades to MS desktop OS, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Exchange
Design and validate protection policies such as onsite high availability, fault tolerance, backup/restore and anti-virus plus offsite or cloud-based disaster recovery
Robust system architecture and proactive health monitoring
Minimum Work Experience Requirements
10+ years’ experience in desktop, server administration and IT Infrastructure support (new software installation, machine setup, problem identification and resolution)
5+ years consulting experience
Ability to debug software application issues such as desktop PC software compatibility issues, server problems, data service problems, and access issues
Background in business productivity application support (Microsoft products)
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a virtual office setting, delivering consistent follow-up and using online access and wireless connectivity tools
Works without supervision and shows strong sense of ownership and drive
Possess a reasonable knowledge of networking layers 1 through 7 and strong troubleshooting skills in layers 1 through 4
Credentials Needed Current Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and/or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP:EA)
