Home-based, virtual office environment

Primary Activities

  • Support and troubleshoot Windows Server 2016, 2012, 2008-powered IT environments
  • Work on premises and remotely to identify and fix both urgent and lingering problems related to availability, security, capacity, connectivity, and overall productivity
  • Install, setup and debug apps hosted on Microsoft Windows Servers
  • Deploy and integrate Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 desktop PCs and laptops
  • Configure and analyze a variety of network services and applications including AD, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, DFS & NTFRS
  • Design IT topologies including virtualized infrastructures and on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid cloud designs
  • Support and administer MS Outlook client with back office Exchange, Microsoft Office suite, phone communications, and Internet connectivity
  • Design and implement updates to MS desktop OS, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange
  • Develop and test security policies such as on-premises high availability, resilience, backup/restore and anti-virus as well as offsite or cloud-based disaster recovery
  • Robust network design and 24x7 health monitoring and alerting


Minimum Work Experience Requirements
  • 10+ years’ background in desktop, server management and IT Infrastructure support (new software deployment, device provisioning, problem identification and resolution)
  • 5+ years consulting background
  • Ability to troubleshoot software application issues including workstation software compatibility problems, server issues, data service problems, and connectivity problems
  • Experience in business productivity application support (Microsoft products)
  • Proven ability to operate efficiently in a virtual office environment, delivering consistent follow-up and utilizing remote access and mobile communication technology
  • Works without supervision and demonstrates high level of responsibility and drive
  • Has a reasonable knowledge of networking layers L1-L7 and excellent troubleshooting capabilities in layers 1 through 4
